  1. Explore a side of the Smithsonian that you've never seen before in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. Based on the Ben Stiller movie, gameplay takes the player from the New York Museum of Natural History to the campus of the Smithsonian. The spell of Ahkmenrah's magic tablet has brought the inanimate exhibits of the Smithsonian to life, and Larry must restore order to the chaotic museum. Players control Larry Daley (Stiller), who must retrieve the tablet of Ahkmenrah from the clutches of the evil Kahmunrah.
While basic movement mechanics (running, jumping, climbing) are used, major gameplay mechanics focus on the use of Larry's "ritual tools of office", his keychain and flashlight. These items are enhanced by the power of Ahkmenrah's tablet, which gives Larry new abilities. With the enhanced keychain, Larry can climb to greater heights, swing across wide gaps, and swing the chain quickly to create a shield. The enhanced flashlight will allow Larry to empower mechanical devices, repair broken objects, tame wild animals, and even summon lightning. Players will use these abilities to complete objectives across multiple museums.

  3. Psi-Ops is an action game with a twist: no longer do you have to rely solely on big weapons and explosions to progress through it - you also have the aid of psychic powers to take down army after army of enemy soldiers.
In the game you take the role of Nick Scryer, a secret agent who had his face reconstructed and mind wiped clean in order to infiltrate a growing psychic organization calling itself The Movement. Nick, however, is captured, but manages to free himself and continue his mission to stop The Movement, regaining his psychic abilities along the way.
The game mixes regular weapons with the weapons of the mind. You'll have access to a series of mind powers, such as Telekinesis (the ability to fling object and soldiers around), Pyrokinesis (the ability to set things on fire), Mind Drain (for draining Psi power out of foes' minds) and Remote Viewing (leaving your body behind and exploring the level).

  5. The story of Prison Break: The Conspiracy is based on the first season of the TV series Prison Break.
The original story of the series is dedicated to the young engineer Michael Scofield and his elaborate plan to rescue his brother Lincoln Burrows, who was falsely accused of murder and is now awaiting execution in the Fox River prison.
In the game, however, the player does not control Michael, but a character who was not present in the TV series: Tom Paxton, an agent for "The Company", the main villainous organization of Prison Break. His mission is to get into Fox River prison and report to the company about Michael's attempts to escape with his brother. The original story serves therefore as a background for Paxton's experiences in the prison.
Prison Break: The Conspiracy is essentially a stealth game with hand-to-hand combat portions. Most of the game is composed of objectives given to Paxton by other inmates. These objectives, for the most part, involve sneaking past security guards, janitors, or hostile inmates, staying unnoticed at all times. If the protagonist is spotted, the player returns to the previous check-point and has to play the part of the sequence again. If the hostile character is an inmate, it is possible to fight him.
There are also other activities the protagonist can engage in when not being on a mission, such as lifting weights, getting tattoos, and fighting other inmates for money and other prizes.

  8. Beside the real world, there is also a parallel dimension called the Veil. Himmler's Paranormal Division knows about the Veil and has built several portals in Isenstadt to travel from the real world to the other, giving them an advantage in the battle over Isenstadt. However, in order to enter the Veil, one needs a special medallion, otherwise the trespasser shall turn into a monster upon his return to the real world. In addition, the medallion grants its wearer special powers. Naturally, the Office of Secret Actions can not allow the Nazis to get access to such powers and sends in their best agent: B. J. Blazkowicz. Although he manages to steal the medallion, the Nazis are already on the brink of being able to artificially create such a medallion in the lab. B. J. can't let them succeed and joins the fight.
Wolfenstein is a first-person-shooter that mainly consists of the player shooting his way through hordes of different types of Nazis, ranging from normal soldier to ninjas. To deal with the large amount of enemies, the player has access to many typical WWII-weapons like the German MP40 or K98 rifle. In addition, during the course of the game he finds the medallion and learns four powers. While at first entering the Veil only allows him so see enemies more clearly and use strange flying creatures as bombs, he is later able to slow down time, surround himself with a protective shield or make himself stronger. However, the medallion's powers drain its energy, which needs to be refilled at power-spots that are nearly invisible in the real world.
After each mission, the player is free to roam Isenstadt, talk to NPCs to get new missions and visit the Black Market. Intelligence material and gold are hidden in the levels. While the intel offers additional insights into the story and its characters, the gold is used at the Black Market to buy new weapons, ammunition and weapons upgrades like silencers or bigger clips. Collecting intel and gold unlocks additional upgrades.

  9. Based on the scripts of the 21st movie "Casino Royale" and the 22nd James Bond movie of the same name as the game, it follows closely the story of those movies but elaborates many scenes and fills in some blanks.
In a first person shooter fashion, the player directs Bond through the levels filled with many bad guys. To overcome those, Bond has several different kinds of weapons at his disposal ranging from his trusted P99 to machine guns and full blown grenade launchers. But the levels are also filled with canisters that either explode upon shooting or vent gas that temporarily blinds the enemy. Bond can also perform a take down move which puts an enemy out silently. If Bond is near enough to an enemy, a button press will initiate the corresponding mini-game in which the player needs to hit a circle with a crosshair in a short period of time. Is the player successful, the enemy is out of the play but when he fails to hit the mark in time, Bond will be thrown away from the enemy and is vulnerable for a short period of time. In addition Bond can duck into cover to avoid bullets and shoot blindly over it or look out of it to get the kill. Bond also automatically regenerates his health when not under fire.
Other obstacles in the levels are cameras, which can either be shot or disabled and electronic locks which need to be hacked in another mini-game. There arrows flash green or red on the screen and the player needs to press the corresponding button fast enough when it blinks green to input the right number into the keypad.
The game also features a multiplayer mode for up to 12 players with the following game modes:
Bond Versus: one player takes over the control of James Bond and either needs to defuse two of the three bombs in the level or kill all six of the opposing team. In this mode Bond can also see all enemies and has two lives. Golden Gun: the first player to score 100 points wins the round. Points are earned by kills but if the player is holding the always visible power weapon called "Golden Gun", he scores 6 points per kill. Bond Evasion: in this mode one member of the MI6-team randomly gets to be Bond and needs to get to the escape point of the map to win the round for his team. Meanwhile The Organization tries to stop him by either killing him or preventing him from reaching the escape points in time.

  13. The story begins with John Vattic waking up in a mysterious medical facility with no memory of who he is or how he got there. Vattic soon uncovers that he has the ability to manipulate the physical world with his mind and uses this newfound power to escape and try to discover the forgotten secrets of his past.
The gameplay of Second Sight involves the use of both firearms and psychic abilities. John's psychic arsenal includes telekenisis, a psychic attack (either in the form of a psychic shockwave or a The sniper rifle mechanic in Second Sight, with the scope view in the corner.
The sniper rifle mechanic in Second Sight, with the scope view in the corner.
concentrated ball of energy), healing, invisiblity, projection, and possesion. The games arsenal of weapons includes the basic shooter weaponry, ranging from pistols to SMGs, and assault rifles to sniper rifles.

There is also a stealth element to the game, allowing the player to sneak past enemies to reach their objectives, mostly relying on their charm ability (using John's psychic influence to trick the enemy into thinking John isn't there) or their projection ability to scout the area ahead. However, the game does include some instances where stealth is not an option and the player must eliminate all enemies by force (either using firearms or psychic powers).
Due to his inherent ability to heal himself, Vattic can, if hurt, retreat to a safe place to heal and then return to the fight, although enemies will sometimes tend to respawn if the player retreats too far.
Though much of the game is built up to emphasize the possibility of sneaking past enemies, there are also elements of traditional shooter games, especially when teamed up with WinterICE in the past.

The game doesn't contain any bosses of any sort, mainly due to the story-intensive nature of the game. The only real boss in the game is the main antagonist, Hanson. However there isn't any traditional boss fight, i.e; the player doesn't need to change the way they battle or use any special tactics on certain enemies to finish the game.

  14. Mario is a legendary game whose history dates back to 1981, when the character of Mario has been introduced in another famous game - Donkey Kong. Mario has become quite a popular and so Nintendo made many games dedicated just to him. The first came immediately in 1983, but the most famous game about Mario is named: Mario Super Mario Bros. (In the game you can also play for Mario's brother - Luigi). The storyline is absolutely the greatest classics: evil Bowser has kidnapped the princess and now it's up to Mario and Luigi to save her. Mario need no introduction, he is very well-known by the smallest ones even nowadays, so only in short: Mario is a small guy, but he grow in height, when he eats one kind of Mushroom. On his route to save the princess, he will come across carnivorous flowers, strange creatures, and turtles. You have to try to kill, but sometimes you need to use them to your advantage: for example, to move further, you have to skillfully jump and stand on a turtle. The game is also known for its bonus levels, where you can get entering green tubes, so you take a shorter way and also get some bonus points. Individual levels are quite diverse (starting in a sort of nature, in the second round underground, then get into the channels, and the like).

  15. Die Hard 2: Die Harder is an okay shooter from Grandslam based on the hit movie of the same name.
The game is essentially 3D target practice: you shoot the baddies from a first-person perspective, and each stage is the same as the previous one except for different background graphics and baddies. The stages replicate locations seen in the movie (e.g. airport terminal, and so on), although there is no attempt to flesh out the plot or develop any character. Die Hard 2 is simply an average target practice game that fans of the movie may enjoy for a few minutes, before they get bored and turn to something else more exciting, such as watching the movie again.

  16. The game is based on the first film of the Die Hard series, in which cunning Alan Rickman takes over the state-of-the-art Nakatomi Plaza building as part of a deeply devious robbery, and only Bruce Willis, there to meet his separated executive wife, can stop the faux terrorists. It's a great action flick noted for a stonking villain, displays of ingenuity on both sides, pulse-pounding set pieces and an all-too human hero who gets hurt and tired and frustrated rather than simply displaying the traditional action-hero square chin and invulnerability. Sadly, all these points are missing from the game.

  17. The Die Hard series of films are somewhat obvious candidates for being the basis of a computer game. The combination of violence and terrorists with strange European accidents provides excellent material for an action game. Die Hard Trilogy is a set of three games based on the three films. Bundling three games together in one package initially sounds like a bad idea. Surely you'll end up with three weak games rather than one strong one? However, Die Hard Triology works remarkably well.
Die Hard Trilogy gives you three very different games for your money. All of them are quite compelling but aren't really of a high enough quality to maintain your interest for too long. However, because there are three games, you can move between them to keep your interest level up. The package works surprisingly well. However, none of the games would really stand up all that well on their own, so you really have to decide what it is you are looking for. If you want one excellent version of one of these styles of games then you would be advised to look elsewhere. However, if you want a wide range of action then this package may suit you. I certainly enjoyed it and it is one of the better movie licenses of recent times.

  18. Die Hard Trilogy 2
Fox Interactive and developers N Space have attempted to bring back the flair of the original game with all the same style games, but with new scenarios. The story goes that one-day John McClane, lying in bed (probably in a vest), is called to a mass prison breakout. You must put a halt to these shenanigans. It seems strange that McClane, the blue-collar cop, the master of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, should be the all-out action hero who goes looking for adventure. Of course, the breakout is the beginning of something much bigger.
    Break it down!
The game allows you to play through either a story mode, arcade mode, or practice to your hearts content. We'll go through the games as they appear in the story mode. First up, the third-person antics.
    Third-person antics
You've got your gun, you've got a location, what do you do next? You have to travel to a designated area while shooting those who would oppose you. So, off you go and, as in most third-person games, the direct route is never available. Hunting around for levers to pull is the tuxedo-wearing McClane - you heard me, tuxedo. The iconic vision of a man in a string vest has gone and now we have some Bond-a-like. This section is the weakest element of the game. It's too simple: go around, shoot people and press buttons until you get to where you need to go. Also, McClane floats along the ground and precision control is required to get close enough to press in-game buttons. The animation is flawed as well; stepping over body causes you to rise about six feet in the air.
Shooting things in the head antics
One of the better aspects of the PC conversion comes to light with the shooting game. Targets run on screen, you blow their brains out while keeping an eye out for extra weapons such as shotguns, rocket launchers and machine guns. The game's readiness to allow several controllers to be used is a plus; you can plug in a joypad and use it in the previous two games and then use the mouse for this level. This game is probably the most boring as it is simply like playing "click-on-the-baddie" and there is no challenge. The light-gun had appeal on the PlayStation, for which there are many and varied light-gun shooters; but on the PC why would you fork out for a peripheral you might only use one or twice in your gaming life? We couldn't get our makeshift, washing-up bottle and piece of wire light-gun to work so we can't really comment on how well DHT2 worked with it, although the instruction manual does say that the game supports the Act Labs series of guns. The graphics are presented well, although overuse of textures chops off a lot of speed, especially at higher resolutions. Sometimes, mainly during the explosions, the frame-rate nose-dives so much that a slow-motion effect takes over until the explosion has dispersed. Animation in this section is a lot better.
    Racing around antics
The racing section was the best feature of the original game, with its New York-based structures and classic arcade feel. Unfortunately, the game is a little weaker in this sequel. The original game had a Crazy Taxi feel to it, but this version plays like the terrible Interstate '82. The sprawling levels are too easy to get lost in, and when I played, I couldn't get the head-up display to work properly, so there was no map locator. This section is fairly simple with no great challenges at the start and things don't really get much harder when you drive around the city of Las Vegas in later levels. The handling is sloppy and it is far too easy.
The best feature of the game overall is the music, although I still wouldn't buy it. Fast action tunes from acts such as BT, Lil' Zane, Tony Touch and Black Rob are pretty cool stuff for a game. This is the only side of the whole package that is any good. This is a bit of a turn around as far as games go.
    End credits
What the game lacks is any real challenge or stability. I couldn't get movies, the sound occasionally disappeared, and the game crashed on several occasions - on various computers. I can't understand why Fox would release a game that is so bad and so unstable. Of course, it goes back to the blinkered equation that PC + hit Console game = hit PC game. Fox Interactive and N space must do better!

  19. The majority of the game is taken up by third-person combat, usually on foot. At the start of the game the player can use four "combo" attacks. Additionally, they can use three basic magic attacks: magic push/pull (Thrysta Vindr), magic shield (Skölir), and magic fire (Brisingr). These three magic attacks can be utilised in different ways (for example, Brisingr arrows, or throwing spears in baskets magically). On the PC and console versions (excluding the Xbox 360 version) there are sixteen levels.
Some missions permit the player to use the dragon Saphira in combat. The gameplay mechanics within these levels are largely similar to those in ground-based levels, with the exception of some different attack moves (such as tail attacks). Protagonist Eragon sits on Saphira's back during these sections, and can be made to fire magic arrows. The player has no choice as to whether or not they use Saphira. Similarly, the player cannot use Saphira in ground-based levels: they can call for her and she will swoop past, but it is not possible to use this feature to ride Saphira. There is a multiplayer co-op mode which allows two people to play through the main storyline. It is possible to switch from playing a one-player game to a two-player game at any time. There are no Internet multiplayer options.

  22. The Punisher is a third-person shooter video game developed by Volition and published by THQ. It was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows; a mobile phone game was also developed by Amplified Games and released in 2004. The game stars the Marvel Comics antihero, The Punisher. After his family was murdered by the Mafia, Frank Castle devoted his life to the punishment of criminals. Players take control of the titular ruthless vigilante to track down and kill criminals.
The game's story is a loose mixture of the 2004 film of the same name, as well as the Vol. 5 (2000) and Vol. 6 (2001) series of the comic books. Actor Thomas Jane reprises his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher. The game features many cameo appearances from Marvel Comics characters, such as Iron Man, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Matt Murdock (the alter ego of Daredevil), Bushwacker, Kingpin and Bullseye. Also present are several characters from the Welcome Back, Frank storyline such as detectives Martin Soap and Molly von Richthofen, the Punisher's neighbors Joan and Spacker Dave, Ma Gnucci, The Russian and General Kreigkopf.

  23. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is a 1999 survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom for the PlayStation. It is the third game in the Resident Evil series and takes place almost concurrently with the events of Resident Evil 2. The player must control former elite agent Jill Valentine as she escapes from a city that has been infected by a virus. The game uses the same engine as its predecessors and features 3D models over pre-rendered backgrounds with fixed camera angles. Choices through the game affect how the story unfolds and which ending is achieved.
Resident Evil 3 was developed concurrently with Resident Evil – Code: Veronica and was originally conceived as a spin-off featuring a different protagonist, before being promoted as the last numbered Resident Evil game for the PlayStation. It was designed to have a more action-oriented gameplay than its predecessors and features a larger number of enemies for the player to defeat. It also introduces Nemesis, a creature that periodically pursues the player throughout the game and that was inspired by the T-1000 Terminator from the 1991 film Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Accompanied by a major marketing campaign, Resident Evil 3 received very positive reviews from critics and sold more than three million copies worldwide. Critics praised the game's detailed graphics and Nemesis as an intimidating villain, but some criticized its short length. Shortly after its release on the PlayStation, Resident Evil 3 was ported to Windows, Dreamcast and GameCube with varying degrees of critical success. In particular, the GameCube version was criticized for its relatively high retail price and outdated graphics.

  24. Resident Evil 2 is a 1998 survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom for the PlayStation. The player controls Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, who must escape Raccoon City after its citizens are transformed into zombies by a biological weapon two months after the events of the original Resident Evil. The gameplay focuses on exploration, puzzles, and combat; the main difference from its predecessor are the branching paths, with each player character having unique storylines, partners and obstacles.
Resident Evil 2 was produced by Resident Evil director Shinji Mikami, directed by Hideki Kamiya, and developed by a team of around 50 over 21 months. The initial version, commonly referred to as Resident Evil 1.5, differed drastically; it was canceled when it was around two thirds complete after Mikami decided it was inadequate. The final design introduced a more cinematic presentation.
Resident Evil 2 received acclaim for its atmosphere, setting, graphics, audio, scenarios, and overall gameplay, as well as its improvements over the original game, but with some criticism towards its controls, voice acting and certain gameplay elements. It has appeared on a number of lists of the best video games ever made. It is the best-selling Resident Evil game for a single platform at more than 6 million copies sold across all platforms. It was ported to Windows, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and GameCube, and a modified 2.5D version was released for the Game.com handheld.
