Turok is a first-person shooter game set in the near future. There is no relationship with the previous games or the storyline from the comic books. The protagonist is Joseph Turok, a former member of Wolf Pack (the enemy in this game), but now a member of Whiskey Company. The mission that led to the events of the game was simple: find Roland Kane (leader of Wolf Pack, and Turok's former mentor) and bring him back to Earth. However, things turned ugly, as the ship was hit by a missile and crashed on the back-water planet. Even worse, it becomes apparent that scientists from the Mendel Gruman Corporation have been terra-forming the planet for accelerated evolution, resulting in dinosaurs hunting Turok, his allies, and his enemy. Joseph Turok's mission is to survive at all costs.
Gameplay is about surviving in dangerous environments with both human soldiers and dinosaurs. The dinosaurs can be used as a tool to eliminate soldiers by luring them. All weapons have secondary functions such as a flares to lure dinos. Turok can also choose a stealthy approach with arrows and his trusty knife, in the form of brutal kills. Online multiplayer is also featured, with all the weapons from the single-player game, and some maps have dinos and giant scorpions. The gameplay modes include classics like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and all-new modes borrowed from objective-based war games, such as Assault Capture the flag, and co-op missions. They all have a little twist to them, such as CTF putting a lure on the "flag carrier" that draws dinos to the player.

Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II - The Rise of the Witch-King is the official addition to the game of the same title. A new playable Angmar faction has been added to the game and a new single player campaign focused on this faction has been added. In addition, all six factions from the previous game have received new hero units.
The action of the new campaign takes place before the events presented in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Your task is to dominate the northern ends of Middle-earth and turn your powerful fortress against the forces of good.

In contrast, the second part focuses on collecting army of goblins by Ombudsman Sauron to conquer northern parts of Middle-earth.
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II has received positive reviews from critics and is loved by players. There are fifteen different scenarios to go through! In addition, in the second installment of the game, the action also takes place at sea. Beside the real world, there is also a parallel dimension called the Veil. Wolfenstein is a first-person-shooter that mainly consists of the player shooting his way through hordes of different types of Nazis, ranging from normal soldier to ninjas. To deal with the large amount of enemies, the player has access to many typical WWII-weapons like the German MP40 or K98 rifle. In addition, during the course of the game he finds the medallion and learns four powers. While at first entering the Veil only allows him so see enemies more clearly and use strange flying creatures as bombs, he is later able to slow down time, surround himself with a protective shield or make himself stronger. However, the medallion's powers drain its energy, which needs to be refilled at power-spots that are nearly invisible in the real world.
After each mission, the player is free to roam Isenstadt, talk to NPCs to get new missions and visit the Black Market. Intelligence material and gold are hidden in the levels. While the intel offers additional insights into the story and its characters, the gold is used at the Black Market to buy new weapons, ammunition and weapons upgrades like silencers or bigger clips. Collecting intel and gold unlocks additional upgrades.

In the 90s "Tycoons" were very popular building strategies. They were focus mainly on traffic and normal life. One of the most original Tycoon game is Dinopark Tycoon and as the name suggests you have to build a theme park with dinosaurs. To build a successful theme park, you have to excell in several activities: buy dinosaurs, secure park fence, provide food, toilets, hire employees, set the right admission fees and maintain the park profitable. The game concept is very similar to Rollercoaster Tycoon, but with dinosaurs your responsibility and worries are increasing (you have to grow plants for herbivores and provide meat for carnivores, etc..).

The most famous and most successful adventures are built mostly on two things: a nice cartoon graphics and great humor. The adventure game Sam & Max Hit the Road is no exception. Sam (the dog in the hat) and Max (rabbit with big teeths) are very well known cartoon character - two detectives who were created by Steve Purcell. In the game you directly control Sam, Max follows you everywhere and he can even be used as part of the inventory. In the game you handle the case where Bruno the Bigfoot is missing from the circus and you must find him. You'll travel across the United States, to address various logical and also illogical tasks and the whole game is all made in a very funny way. You move with your police car and new locations are being unlocked if you manage to solve the puzzles.

If we talk about Batman and computer games, many of us can imagine some action games, where you fight your opponents. Batman Returns is an exception - this is an adventure game, where the main goal is to get evidence against Penguin. The game begins in your cave where you have a lot of gadgets (computers with a central database, safe with batman's suits and belts and also the famous futuristic car - the Batmobile). When you are done in cave and you took all the tech gadgets with you, you are good to go to the city, where riots broke out. Penguin's group is robbing people of Gotham, bribes city mayor and terorize the whole city. You will get into a direct fights with rioters, but you cannot interfere into these fights, you can just watch. Just press the button "Fierce" on the belt and just watch as Batman win the fight (and he wins every time). Unfortunately, this is the main problem of this game - you can finish the whole game in a few hours and it will be super easy even for beginner. The movie with the same name "Batman Returns" by Tim Burton deserved a better pc game.

There are many comic book heroes, who has been inspiration for computer games, movies, TV series. Among the most famous and very popular is also Spiderman, which the game The Amazing Spider-man is dedicated to. Of course you play the hero - Spider-Man and your goal is to save your girlfriend - Mary Jane kidnapped by the evil Mysterio.

Contract JACK is another action game using Monolith's render engine. As you can see it uses the same as No One Lives Forever.
It also takes place in the same setting. Actually it takes place around the same time as No One Lives Forever.
The game is made more like a shooter than a spy game. Lots of enemies at one, and lots of ammo and shields to find!
It also picks up ammo from dead guys automatically. You don't need to manual search for it like Cate Archer.
Anyway, there are 7 chapters in this one, and they are pretty cool.

Crazy game!! This game is all about getting people in your cab and bring them as fast as possible to their destination.
You can make crazy jumps with your car, so you can jump over cars, benches, wall, etc.
The more you do this the more your clients will be for the fun right.
There are several different game modes in the game.
You can pick up people for 5,10 or 15 minutes and the game ends. Or... start kind of arcade mode where you have to make sure you don't run out of time.
 

There are many tycoon series, but never thought there would be one to build your own casino.
You start with a bunch of money and an empty floor. For you the goal is to get the casino filled with people playing games and lose their money to you.
Should work fine on Windows 10.
 

The Lemmings are back! this time in a 3D looking world with tons of levels to play.
Build, climb, bomb, stop, glide your lemmings into the balloon and go on the next level.
Nice of this game is that the levels don't need to be played subsequently. After each level you have some options. This way if you get stuck in one, you can just go for another level. Nicely done.
Download game, run the registry setup and you're good to go.

This time you won't go to space, but will go around the world, chasing H.A.R.M. and its employers.

This a great humerous FPS set in the 60s. It reminds a bit of Austin Powers. You play Cate Archer a spy / assassin working for UNITY. You try to catch H.A.R.M guys who are murdering secret agent. Your goal is to get the guy.
The game is pretty good and full of English humor.
This game as been patched and made workable on a variety of Windows version. Currently Windows 10 of time of writing.
 

One of the most successful sequel is Street Fighter 2, whose first part is known only thanks to this continuation. Street Fighter is fighting game Mortal Kombat style, where you can choose from eight characters: Ryu, Ken, Blanka, E. Honda, Zangief, Chun Li, Guile and Dhalsim. Then you have to fight the rest of them. If you can manage to beat the remaining seven characters, you go into the fights with four main bosses: M. Bison, Vega, Sagat and Balrog. Each of the participants of the tournament has it's own story and come from a different country. Each one of them has a different reason, why to participate and win the tournament. There is also a movie inspired by this game, but it has not been very successful.

Mortal Kombat is a very well-known term to everyone who played fighting games on old computers. There have been a large number of sequels, although the name Mortal Kombat Trilogy suggests that this is the third part, or a compilation of previous titles, this is not the case. This is an improved version of Mortal Kombat 3, which contains everything that could be seen in previous parts of the trilogy, or in the game Ultimate Mortal Kombat. Over the years, NFS has become a legend in the gaming industry. Need For Speed games are always very graphically attractive and very well playable. In 1997, EA released an enhanced version of NFS2 called Need For Speed 2: Special Edition, where they focused primarily on graphics enhancements and I have to say, that graphics were at the peak at the time. Other new features were added as well, such as: 4 new cars (Ferrari F355F1, Ford Mustang Mach III, Italdesign Nazca C2 and Ford Indigo), 3 bonus cars, 1 new track, new game modes, or the opportunity to drive mirrored, or reverse tracks.
However, it was still a good old NFS with all the positive and negative characteristics. Controlling the car is smooth, but not entirely simple, so it may take you a while to get used to it and stop cutting down every tree. in the Special edition, a new game mode "Wild" has also been added - here you can drive at such speeds along the way, where other machines would start flying.

At the same time, 2D platformers are one of the most fun games, but every time demands its own, so gaming companies have moved in a different direction. Fortunately, there are a few companies that have not forgotten about this genre, and in 1997 Claw is published.

Even though he is caught, he manages to escape from prison. You take on his role and set out on a painful journey to find a mysterious amulet that has magical powers. The very character of the pirate in the game is clear that the story takes place in the past and the graphics of the game are adapted to this - corsairs, deaths, pirates with swords, dynamite, or some magic.
The game has a total of 16 levels, each of which takes place in a different environment and thus differs significantly in terms of graphics. The interesting thing about this game was the presence of multiplayer, and as one of the few games in those years, the game had its own page with the current ranking of the highest score. The Monolith company certainly took a risk when it released this game at a time when 3D action shooters were already flying, but I did very well, I think, because there were still enough players who knew how to appreciate a beautiful platformer.

Rough music, leather clothing, plenty of booze and sexy girls - these are the main characteristics of bikers, or at least how most people portray them. The game Road Rash is about motorcycles and playing this game you will... wait for it... confirm all these myths/ideas! In the game you will meet a bunch of people, who have quite a lot of money so they can afford to buy expensive and fast bikes, and their life are not very valuable for them. You will race in with fast bikes and believe me, this game is everything, but not a fair-play, the races are harsh.
Each time your opponent will try to overtake you, you can attack him (kick him, punch him,...) and tries to crash his bike. In real life, a fall at a speed of about 200km/hour would be fatal, but in the game is just a small crash, after a short moment you get up get back on the track. Road Rash contains 5 different tracks and offers 3 game modes: Trash mode (sit on the bike and at play), Big Game Mode (Championship, where you start as a beginner and you have to move to the top) and Mano-a-Mano Game Mode (multiplayer game over a network). Road Rash is not a traditional racing game, where bikers are fair, but the game has a great atmosphere, gameplay and catchy music.

Amulets & Armor is a mission-based adventure/RPG that runs on DOS. When starting a new game, you have a choice of several characters (called archetypes here) that range from warriors to ranged combat to magicians. After that, you can choose one of several missions that place you in various levels wit specific objectives. Between missions you can also visit other places: ‘Store’, ‘Inn’, and ‘Bank’. The Inn, which lets you rest to heal, has exorbitant prices and is such unusable. You can visit the Store to buy various things like weapons and potions, and the Bank lets you store any gold you’ve found – it’s useful since you lose a lot of your carried gold whenever you die.
The graphics in the game are atrocious by 1997 standards. It runs worse and looks far inferior to games such as Heretic, and in fact could be easily confused with a 3D title that came out sometime in the early 90s. The controls are slow and awkward, and don’t have any of the balance you expect from serious CRPGs, or the hectic violence found in mainstream 3D shooters. It’s a dull, dysfunctional blend of both worlds with little charm in between.

BeachHead 2002 is an arcade shooter where you, as a lone one army gunner, have to defend against waves and waves of soldiers, tanks, APCs, planes and helicopters that have the sole objective of swarming your position. You have an anti-aircraft (AA) gun as your main dispenser of grief amongst the infantry, an anti-tank (AT) gun for those pesky APCs and tanks (they can also take out barges), surface to air missiles (SAMs) to swat airborne threats, infrequent off-screen artillery support, and a .45 automatic pistol to… well, get to this point and it’s pretty much game over.

Sensible Golf is a game dedicated to a sport that does not need to be introduced - golf. The game had the same characters - similar to those previously used with great success in Sensible Soccer and Cannon Fodder, although after release it was considered a commercial failure and received rather negative reviews. Part of the problem was that it used the same game engine as Sensible's previous games, so it had to be designed as an arcade game rather than a serious golf simulation, which many critics said led to a reduction in its overall lifespan.
This version of the golf from Sensible Software boasts very simple operation, where almost everything is done for you by a computer. The preset selection can be canceled and adjusted according to your taste, such as picking a stick, the direction of the ball, etc. You focus mainly on hitting the ball. There are a huge number of courses in the game, which you look at from above, so you have a great overview of where there is something. EF2000 is a simulator of the Eurofighter 2000 fighter aircraft. The game is set in a fictitious war conflict, when Russia is about to invade Europe and for this purpose creates strongholds in northern Europe (for easier progress of its invading troops). The individual battles will take place in the detailed modeled environments of the Baltics, Finland, Sweden, Norway and parts of Russia.
The game contains 3 game modes: Quick Combat, Simulator and Training. Quick Combat and Simulator are the two main modes in which air battles with machines take place according to real models (F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, Mig-29, Mig-21) or various operational tasks are performed (destruction of ground targets ). Training mode includes aircraft exercises and controls (takeoffs, landings or refueling in flight).

Warzone 2100 was one of the first in the line of 3D strategy games that started showing up at around the turn of the millennium. While the game’s concept is nothing new (a fight over a devastated world among armies that rely on the harvesting of a resource), its visual appeal and its clever interface are an achievement.
Warzone 2100 combines a trio of great ideas which free up time from unit production and let you dwell more on strategic decisions. First, factories can be ordered to construct a variety of units, and then told to churn them out in batches—including an infinite loop. Second, the game requires you to research your way through a tech tree, and one branch leads to Commander units. Assign units to Commanders, and they’ll work as a team. Each kill the Commander’s team gets, the more experience both they and the Commander rake in, and the more units the Commander earns the right to control. The third link: automatic repairing. Every unit can be set to retreat when heavily damaged, and if they have a repair bay to retreat to, they’ll go there.
