The remake of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag can be released before the summer

More rumors around Edward Kenway. The mythical remake of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag can be released before the summer. According to Ubisoft's financial report, all upcoming games on the menu must be released before the end of March 2026. The report also mentions a title that has not yet been revealed and this may well be Ubisoft's pirate adventure. As I said, the remake of Black Flag has not yet been officially unveiled, but there are many rumors pointing towards it. The voice actors in the ga

The Oblivion remaster is the third most income-generating game of the year in the United States

After only a week and despite Game Pass-releases. Boom! And then the world's worst preserved secret was finally released. And it went well, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered attracted four million players in just four days. The game is also on Game Pass, but despite this, the sales figures do not seem to slow down. Mat Piscatella from the analysis company Circana actually writes on Bluesky that the game already during its first week became the third best selling game in the US in terms o

The Excavation of Hob's Barrow is point-and-click horror of the pixel-perfect kind

The term "pixel perfection" gets thrown around a bit sometimes, but in the case of The Excavation of Hob's Barrow (pc) it feels justified. Looks fantastic! The adventure is about antiquarian Thomasina Bateman who, via a mysterious letter, ends up in a sleepy small town with buried secrets. Maybe you're not trying to prevent people from getting in, but something from getting out ? Well, this is an adventure with underlying horror, with a so-called pagan horror ("folk horror"). The Excav

The Elder Scrolls: Castles is released out of nowhere - to mobile formats

Out of nowhere we get The Elder Scrolls: Castles mobile game. Although the game is only released for Android and in the US, a wider release is likely only a matter of time. The question is: when? It seems Bethesda adopted the surprise strategy with Fallout Shelter being announced and released at the same time - but here without an announcement? We don't even have a trailer to look at. Well. The key phrase is possibly "Fallout Shelter" because the screenshot below gives off such vibes. Readi

The Day Before studio shuts down due to "Out of money"

Four days after The Day Before was released in early access, developer Fntastic has run out of money. And that's why they are shutting down the business, the studio announced via X (Twitter). Fntastic writes that there are no financial means to continue operations. The income received must go to "partners". You don't say anything if you intend to refund money to those who bought the game. As before, Fntastic says that it did not make any money from the players during development. But r

The Day Before failure, players are fleeing

It was heavily criticized in advance, but the question is whether The Day Before's worst time is now. Out of roughly 18,000 Steam reviews, 80 percent give the thumbs down for the early access release. Stupid AI, empty world and a bug fest are focal points of criticism. "Bad game, fun bugs", someone writes. "It turned out to be a real game. Wish in a way it wasn't like that", writes another. It should be said that this is (huge?)early access, but the large open world promised doesn't seem to

The class system returns to Battlefield 2042 this month

Battlefield 2042 received a lot of criticism when it was released last fall, not least because the fixed player classes were replaced with specialists who could act as just about anything. Already in August, Dice made it clear that this will change, and in a new blog post they talk about the return of the class system. For starters - it's close. The return of the classes will happen when the game is updated to 3.2, which will be already this month. In concrete terms, the specialists will be

The Beyond Good and Evil remaster gets a graphic comparison to the original

Ubisoft finally revealed the gaming world's worst-kept secret last week, and Beyond Good & Evil: Anniversary Edition , which is a remaster, was finally released yesterday. If you are interested and curious about how the new version compares to the original, the YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits has made a handy comparison video. Among other things, we see samples of slightly improved mountain geometry, vegetation in 3D instead of just flat textures that stick out, properly polished chara

The ban on Wolfenstein 3D is lifted in Germany after 30 years

The ban on the game Wolfenstein 3D is lifted in Germany. This means that the Germans get to play the classic FPS adventure 30 years after the rest of us. As a bonus, Spear of Destiny will also be included for those who purchase the game on Steam. Germany has traditionally had tough laws for digital games. There has almost always been some form of censorship in the games that have been released (if they are even allowed to be released). It has been everything from the enemies being turned in

Tencent buys into the Ubisoft owners' holding company

It also entitles Tencent to 5 percent of the voting rights in Guillemot Brothers Limited. However, more investments in France may beco

Sunny apocalypse in the Fallout: Miami mod trailer

There are a lot of ambitious mods out there, and Fallout has attracted quite a few such projects. One of those is Fallout: London, but if you want to go to warmer places, maybe Fallout: Miami would be something. The team has been working on this Fallout 4 project in their spare time for several years now, and a few days ago a new trailer was released. It doesn't show gameplay (although most people probably know what Fallout 4 looks like), but offers a glimpse of the different places we'll g

Subnautica 2 delayed to 2026 – to avoid paying out a huge bonus?

Last week, the bombshell exploded: the management of the Subnautica studio Unknown Worlds is disappearing and being replaced by Krafton – who in turn claims that they wanted to keep the management trio. "A shock" said one of the three affected members of the management, but also that "we know that the game is ready for early access release". Now we get new news: the release is delayed until 2026. Krafton claims that the postponement is about feedback after player tests – but is that the whole tr

Starfield is released after Redfall

In May, it was announced that both Starfield and Redfall would miss their planned release dates this year, which is often full of delays. Both have been moved to 2023, but there are no release dates yet. But now it looks like Redfall will be released first followed by Starfield. The task comes from none other than Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty and he says it in the Friends Per Second podcast, Pcgamesn writes. In the Game Maker's Notebook podcast , Howard tells Insomniac's Ted Price: It was important to Todd and company that it would feel natural to continue playing after the campaign, which Starfield's new game plus solution will ensure. Star Wars Outlaws missions locked to expensive versions receive criticism - Ubisoft responds
