The Beyond Good and Evil remaster gets a graphic comparison to the original
Ubisoft finally revealed the gaming world's worst-kept secret last week, and Beyond Good & Evil: Anniversary Edition , which is a remaster, was finally released yesterday. If you are interested and curious about how the new version compares to the original, the YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits has made a handy comparison video.
Among other things, we see samples of slightly improved mountain geometry, vegetation in 3D instead of just flat textures that stick out, properly polished character models as well as more advanced lighting and shadows.
But basically, it's the same game mechanics running in the background, so those who liked the original will feel right at home.
And there will be more Beyond Good and Evil , because Ubisoft has added some new material to the remaster that will connect the plot with that of the sequel that has been in the works for 15 years, and confirmed the other day that work on the game is still ongoing.
