The Swedish dino-shooter Second Extinction is released in October

Mutated dinosaurs are the main antagonists in Second Extinction , the fps game where three people fight together in the best Left 4 Dead style for their survival. And the release is approaching - on October 20, the game will be released. This is the second title from Systemic Reaction, one of three developers under the Swedish Avalanche Studios. They debuted in 2019 with the heavily 80s-smelling Generation Zero. Hopefully Second Extinction gets a warmer reception. It's coming to PC and Xbox

Diablo IV is getting an "end game beta" soon

As you know, it was not only Rockstar that suffered a troublesome leak in the past few days, but also Blizzard. But the exciting news for Diablo IV isn't just of the unofficial kind, as they also gave us more information about upcoming beta tests. First of all, testing a very important part of the game, namely the end game - i.e. what you do after you've run through the plot and reached max level. In order to make the game's end game as good as possible, they will invite players to a closed

The Wandering Village have launched it's Early Access

Stray Fawn Studio scored Kickstarter success when they raised money to create the game The Wandering Village . That was in 2020, and now it's finally time for it to be released in early access on Steam. It's a city-building game, but with the significant difference that you don't build on solid ground, but on the back of a gigantic, six-legged creature that wanders through the world. Flight Sim X-Plane 12 released - Demo Available

Microsoft Flight Simulator may be the oldest (the series is about to turn 40!), but flight sim competitor X-Plane has also been at it for decades. And yesterday a new version - X-Plane 12 - was released as early access. So it's an early version that's still in development that's been released, and you have to be aware that mods and third-party stuff might not work. But X-Plane 11 is included as a backup, if that's any consolation. New in version 12 are, among other things, new planes, weath

The Vampire Survivors studio couldn't find a "non-greedy" mobile developer, so took matters into their own hands

Vampire Survivors not only became one of the most popular games on Steam in 2022, it was also released for Xbox and mobile formats before the end of the year. Something striking is that the mobile version is really free. No, not free-to-play, but free through and through. The end. Or yes, maybe a little comma is in order. Namely, there are advertisements for purchases in the game (but "no pop-ups"), which you can ignore and avoid interacting with. The reason is that the developer wants to m

Oinky trailer of Minecraft Legends released

You probably haven't missed that Minecraft is going to get a spinoff in the likes of action strategy, right? Well, Minecraft Legends was announced in June, and from what little we got to see, it looked like an interesting concept. Now a new trailer has arrived that is as fiery as it is grisly. Pigs invade the overworld and devour everything in their path, and it falls to the player to lead golems and other classic Minecraft creatures in the battle against them. This is not done with the hel

Fallout doubles its player numbers on Steam (and you can probably guess why)

In the wake of the Fallout series on Amazon Prime, several Fallout games have "more than doubled" their Steam concurrent player stats (according to Steamdb). The series is of course an obvious reason, but Bethesda (coincidentally!) has also teased some games, and Fallout 76 is currently free to try for doom-seekers. That, Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas have all received major boosts. That's about doubled, tripled, yes, even quadrupled the numbers for the Fallout games. And there will

Euro Truck Simulator 2 celebrated ten years on the market a couple of days ago, and via their blog they shared some interesting numbers from this strangely popular simulator. They themselves write that the game's success and placement on top lists in connection with the release in autumn 2012 came as a surprise. The shock continued with the release on Steam a few months later, where it also became a bestseller. Since then, 13 million copies of the game have been sold, and on top of that the

Dinosaur horror game The Lost Wild gets new trailer and releases 'soon'

We haven't exactly been spoiled with cool dinosaur games in recent years, but The Lost Wild looks like it could be an interesting title. Now we've got a new trailer for the game, but unfortunately it's not a pure gameplay trailer. Instead, it's more of a cinematic showcase, but it looks to be in-engine and we'll hope it's representative of the actual game, because it looks really good. The dinosaurs in this survival/horror game will use advanced AI that allows them to adapt to what is happe
