Oinky trailer of Minecraft Legends released

You probably haven't missed that Minecraft is going to get a spinoff in the likes of action strategy, right? Well, Minecraft Legends was announced in June, and from what little we got to see, it looked like an interesting concept. Now a new trailer has arrived that is as fiery as it is grisly.

Pigs invade the overworld and devour everything in their path, and it falls to the player to lead golems and other classic Minecraft creatures in the battle against them. This is not done with the help of classic real-time strategy, but instead in the form of an action and strategy hybrid where we, as the main character, ride around and lead our troops. This means that we can attack the enemies ourselves while giving orders - a bit like in Overlord and similar games.

Minecraft Legends is being developed by Mojang and Blackbird Interactive – who are also working on Homeworld 3 – and will be released in 2023 for PC, Playstation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, as well as being included in Game Pass.
