The Day Before failure, players are fleeing

It was heavily criticized in advance, but the question is whether The Day Before's worst time is now. Out of roughly 18,000 Steam reviews, 80 percent give the thumbs down for the early access release. Stupid AI, empty world and a bug fest are focal points of criticism. "Bad game, fun bugs", someone writes. "It turned out to be a real game. Wish in a way it wasn't like that", writes another. It should be said that this is (huge?)early access, but the large open world promised doesn't seem to

"Florida Joker" wants Rockstar to pay him "a million or two"

The GTA VI trailer was released last week, a little earlier than planned even, and at the time of writing has nearly 140 million views on YouTube . But not everyone was completely satisfied with getting the first official look at almost part of Rockstar's hit franchise. Lawrence "Florida Joker" Sullivan is a man nicknamed for his Joker-inspired facial tattoos and (once upon a time) green-dyed hair, and now he's angry that a character in GTA VI possibly inspired by him and the "mug shot" whi

The Beyond Good and Evil remaster gets a graphic comparison to the original

Ubisoft finally revealed the gaming world's worst-kept secret last week, and Beyond Good & Evil: Anniversary Edition , which is a remaster, was finally released yesterday. If you are interested and curious about how the new version compares to the original, the YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits has made a handy comparison video. Among other things, we see samples of slightly improved mountain geometry, vegetation in 3D instead of just flat textures that stick out, properly polished chara

TMNT Shredder’s Revenge is getting a Playstation 5 version

The beat’em’up game featuring the mutant turtles was very well received by both players and critics. Now it seems that TMNT Shredder’s Revenge will also get a dedicated Playstation 5 version. There is really nothing strange about this, but the strange thing here is that according to them themselves, the game will be identical to the PS4 version. Why they choose to release an identical version is unclear as the game can already be played on PS5 through the PS4 version, but regardless Shredde

Subnautica 2 delayed to 2026 – to avoid paying out a huge bonus?

Last week, the bombshell exploded: the management of the Subnautica studio Unknown Worlds is disappearing and being replaced by Krafton – who in turn claims that they wanted to keep the management trio. "A shock" said one of the three affected members of the management, but also that "we know that the game is ready for early access release". Now we get new news: the release is delayed until 2026. Krafton claims that the postponement is about feedback after player tests – but is that the whole tr

The Excavation of Hob's Barrow is point-and-click horror of the pixel-perfect kind

The term "pixel perfection" gets thrown around a bit sometimes, but in the case of The Excavation of Hob's Barrow (pc) it feels justified. Looks fantastic! The adventure is about antiquarian Thomasina Bateman who, via a mysterious letter, ends up in a sleepy small town with buried secrets. Maybe you're not trying to prevent people from getting in, but something from getting out ? Well, this is an adventure with underlying horror, with a so-called pagan horror ("folk horror"). The Excav

Star Wars Outlaws missions locked to expensive versions receive criticism - Ubisoft responds

Everyone will meet Jabba the Hut, but a specific mission costs extra. When Star Wars Outlaws was shown off and given a release date last week, it was clear that Ubisoft is trying to lure buyers to the more expensive versions with exclusive content. The standard edition costs $69.99, but for an extra $40 for the Gold Edition or an extra $60 (as much as a full game) for the Ultimate Edition, you get to start playing three days before the real premiere, plus the season pass (and with the

Rockstar confirms GTA 6 leak - Hacking was behind

The culprit(s) came across "confidential information" including "early development material from the next Grand Theft Auto," Rockstar writes. There have been reports that the source code is also on the loose, but this is not

New Overwatch 2 players must play 100 matches to unlock the original characters

According to a new blog post on the Overwatch website, new players in Overwatch 2 will have to play 100 matches to unlock all the characters from the original Overwatch game . The idea is to keep new players from feeling overwhelmed and give them the chance to learn all the modes and characters at their own pace. But it also says this. This means that these restrictions only exist when it comes to competitive games and not if you run practice matches with family and friends. O
