  1. Project Nomads (Win) Project Nomads leads you into a very strange futuristic world. Your planet is destroyed, and all that's left are thousands of small islands, floating around. One of those small islands is yours. You can navigate through the world with it, build gun turrets, windmills, storage-silos, etc. Project Nomads is a very stylish genre-mix. You have to manage your island (strategy), fight against a lot of enemies from your different turrets (arcade), walk around, cast spells (jump 'n' run) or even jump into a fighter or bomber and attack the enemies islands and units (action-sim). 2. Here are some first thought ideas: We aim to bring you a serious PvEC server. Our server PvE-C means that PvP will be allowed but you will not be allowed to attack players and cannot raid bases on claimed land (read below). We are still figuring out what kind of server settings would be best for a RP point of view and it will probably be heavily modded as some of the RP mods are quite large. Please give your input. What we are leaning towards as a base start is: Lowering all XP gains by half or more to avoid power play and enforcing role-play. If possible, limiting attribute points and force players to dedicate on certain parts to open up for jobs and traders, and players will not be able to unlock the entire skill tree. For example you can be a builder, a blacksmith, a weapons smith, a hunter etc. and you could make a living off of doing that. Raising enemy NPC damage to force role-play with other players (team up, planning etc.). This also makes it so that you are forced to play safe to begin with. Removing decay alternately setting a really slow decay timer. We do not want to make player feel like they have to log in everyday and farm materials taking away from role-play. A slower decay time makes more sense than none at all. Slightly lower the time tools and weapons break to avoid grinding for materials just to repair your gear. Players can claim land, one tile by placing a flag. The owner(s) of that tile is the only player(s) allowed to build on that tile. Players can only have one tile claimed at any given time and will function as their safe zone. A claimed tile is not allowed to be raided. Bases or buildings not on claimed land can be raided. Open PvP arenas or zones where anything goes. This could be a certain set of tiles in for example a 6x6 area or bigger. There are some zones on the map where it would make sense to have full PvP and where even claimed land would be allowed to raid. This would also open up for the players that want a more hardcore experience. Jobs: Jobs would be needed or you can create your own like setting up a traders hub and build a trader building where you can trade materials or sell high grade gear or food or potions This is where the lower XP gain would set in and force players to engage in trading role-play if you can't get max level in a couple of days by grinding. And much more. Server settings will most likely be changed a lot during testing fazes and balancing and we are open for ideas.
  3. I am thinking about setting up a Conan Exiles serious RP server. Would anyone be interested in playing on such a server and what would you like to see? As the game is modable it would in theory be pretty easy to set up some good role-play. I know there are some RP servers out there but this would be a serious RP server with rules and settings. Probably some kind of whitelist since we don't want random people to come in just to ruin and destroy and don't care about being banned. We would need to set up some kind of law enforcement jobs. Tavern owners etc. There so much you could do with the right people. As this is still in early stages and will probably cost a few doubloons since it would require at least 40+ player server to start with. Looking at costs, a 40 player server would cost about US$28/m which is doable to begin with, but if this is going to a interesting RP there is an option to get 1000 player server but will cost US$484/m which means we have to rely on donations as that cost is just to much for me to handle. The upside is that it is the same server host so the server can be upgraded over time. What are your thoughts on this?
  4. World Cup USA 94 (Dos) World Cup USA 94 is a top-down football (soccer) game recreating the namesake tournament. Beside the 24 teams who qualified for the actual World Cup, other significant footballing nations like England, France and Denmark can be drafted in. Tackling is difficult and passing is easy, making for a flowing end-to-end style of play. The presentation of the menus is largely icon-based, with the official mascot featured prominently. 5. Maze Wars (Dos) Maze Wars is a decent 3D maze game that is by no means revolutionary, but deserves mention as one of the first 3D maze mouse-driven games that I quite like 😉 The objective is simple: find the exit to the maze, while shooting monsters who get in your way. The game is timed, making it quite challenging on higher levels (especially beyond level 3). The game includes 11 levels in total, although they are all very similar except for maze size and the number of monsters (which all appear as floating polygons). One nice feature of the game is that it allows you to change the colors of everything: monsters, walls, floor etc. One gripe I have with the game is that the controls take some getting used to: instead of using mouse buttons for firing weapons, the game instead forces you to press them for movement (left = forward and right = backward). You need to press both mouse buttons at once to shoot -- a quirk I found quite annoying at first, but it didn't take long to get used to. The animations are quite smooth, and the action fast and furious. Overall, recommended for fans of maze games who want more challenge than typical maze games. Make sure you use a slowdown program to run this one, though. File Information Submitter [[Template core/front/global/userLink is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. 7. Turok (Win) Turok is a first-person shooter game set in the near future. There is no relationship with the previous games or the storyline from the comic books. The protagonist is Joseph Turok, a former member of Wolf Pack (the enemy in this game), but now a member of Whiskey Company. The mission that led to the events of the game was simple: find Roland Kane (leader of Wolf Pack, and Turok's former mentor) and bring him back to Earth. However, things turned ugly, as the ship was hit by a missile and crashed on the back-water planet. Even worse, it becomes apparent that scientists from the Mendel Gruman Corporation have been terra-forming the planet for accelerated evolution, resulting in dinosaurs hunting Turok, his allies, and his enemy. Joseph Turok's mission is to survive at all costs. Gameplay is about surviving in dangerous environments with both human soldiers and dinosaurs. The dinosaurs can be used as a tool to eliminate soldiers by luring them. All weapons have secondary functions such as a flares to lure dinos. Turok can also choose a stealthy approach with arrows and his trusty knife, in the form of brutal kills. Online multiplayer is also featured, with all the weapons from the single-player game, and some maps have dinos and giant scorpions. The gameplay modes include classics like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and all-new modes borrowed from objective-based war games, such as Assault Capture the flag, and co-op missions. They all have a little twist to them, such as CTF putting a lure on the "flag carrier" that draws dinos to the player. Kick Off 96 gives you the chance to take part in the European Championships in England 1996. Kick Off 96 can be played with several perspectives, including overhead and isometric, and offers the same pacey gameplay that made its predecessors famous. If Euro 96 isn't enough you could play with 49 international teams plus 750 club teams, totalling 15.000 real players with varied skill levels. If that's still not enough, you can also create your own leagues and teams.

Kick Off 3: European Challenge is an updated version of Kick Off 3. Whereas the original game only featured national teams, this version allows the player to take control of all club teams from the top divisions of five European countries: England, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. For each country a league or a cup can be played and there is also a European cup with teams from all countries as well as individual friendlies. The European cup and friendlies also allow the player to select teams from other countries. For copyright reasons, all player names are misspelled (for example Barcelona features Rommario, Haggi and Coeman). The names can however be edited. There are also some changes to the gameplay. This includes changes to the control systems to make it playable with a one button joystick (on Amiga) and new sound effects (for example when goals are scored) and improved graphics with more animations. Another addition is special key players that bring special playing styles to their sides.

  13. Kick Off 3 (Dos) The third entry in the Kick Off series is the first that offers an isometric view instead of the old top-down view. In the game, there are four competitions (World Cup Finals, League, Knock Out Cup and the challenge). There are several options for game speed and ball control to suit both novice and skilled gamers. Each of the 32 teams in the game has a distinct style of play, ensuring that no two games are alike. Each team also has "key players", such as Liberos and Wingers, who play a pivotal role in how that team plays. Kick Off 3 offers two styles of play: Arcade and Simulation. The difference is that in the Arcade mode you can switch off rules to focus purely on reflexes. File Information Submitter [[Template core/front/global/userLink is throwing an error. 15. Kick Off 2 (Dos) The original Kick Off was expanded on in many ways for this sequel. The game now features full tournament modes (although the players on the teams are fictitious) and four different pitches (including an implementation of plastic pitches, whose uneven bounce cause controversy when several British clubs tried them in the 1980s). Viewed top-down, the controls involve trapping the ball under your foot, giving you time to prepare passes. Running with the ball is tricky at first, as it doesn't stick to your foot the way it did in contemporary football games. Complex moves such as overhead kicks, back-heels and long-range through-ball passes can be completed with practice.
