DUNE: Awakening Rise from survival to greatness and challenge the power of an Imperium in Dune: Awakening, a multiplayer survival game on a massive scale. Survive the sandworm, craft your ornithopter, build a fortress, and ascend to power on an open world Arrakis shared with hundreds of other players. TLDR It's a chore and a grind fest. REVIEW The game-play is solid and the building mechanics are top tier. That's about it. Get ready for a lot of running and drinking. Yes, the water system is really bad in my opinion. The rate at which water drains is ridiculous and you end up always interrupting whatever you are doing to go get water in your base or hunting NPC's to get their blood. It's a choir rather than a fundamental mechanic. Also, hunger is apparently not a thing on Arrakis... There is also this weird mechanic with shielded doors where you have to find a random key just laying around in order to be able to go through the shield. It felt very misplaced and like a lazy way to limit players from entering certain areas (forced exploration). Either make it feel worth it or just skip the mechanic overall. The whole game feels like a big chore. You need hundreds of tools to farm hundreds of materials to build hundred components for one thing (a little exaggerated but you get it). It feels too complicated and it takes away from the game-play and survival aspect when you constantly have to go out farming materials just to keep the base alive. Speaking of base, I'm running one of each simple machines and I need FOUR GENERATORS! Again, I have to constantly run out and farm fuel cells. Why in the frakkin seven hells is there no such thing as a sun collector in the desert? There's obviously a wind turbine and RAIN collector in the desert where there's no rain or winds! There are many more minor things like this that just don't feel thought through, feels lazy and out of place, over-complicated and a chore rather than a task. I'm not gonna go into the poor mission (journey) system and how you have to hunt down class trainers, forced into PvP zones even though devs stated that PvP is optional etc. Because it's bad. Again, a frakkin chore. They claim it's a MMO yet there is no such thing as team work other than being a FOUR MAN PARTY(!). There is no mission sharing, no shareable map markers, nothing really aimed towards group play unless, again, you engage in PvP... Poor server structure and server system, repetitive missions and a lot of grinding. I would honestly wait for a sale and I am once again reminded why buying games early instead of waiting for reviews and game-play videos is a mistake. I'm pretty much done, spending hours and hours grinding materials just to have my base up and running and then not having time to actually play the game is not what I consider fun. Final Score: 2/5
Tiny Tina and Limbo are the free games on Epic Store for another day. You get some fun hours out of these two and save a pretty penny on Tina. Go grab'em now before they disappear.
On his own blog, Dice writes today that they will make massive changes to Battlefield 2042 in the coming time. The first part of the remake is about the general map design in the game.
The developer points out five different areas as critical:
1. Travel time - Many players are annoyed at how long it takes to move across the big maps, made for up to 128 players. According to Dice, players mocked the title and called it a "walking simulator".
2. Intensity - Due to the lack of smaller zones where the fighters can converge, the matches can feel chaotic and confusing. Dice specifically points out the Breakthrough mode.
3. Line of sight - Too open and too flat - Sniping and attacks from long distances have made life miserable for the poor infantryman. This should therefore be reviewed.
4. Unclear paths to the targets - Without clear paths towards a target, the firing, according to Dice, comes from many different angles, which in turn makes the battles too chaotic.
5. Protection - Dice has taken on board the critique who claim that it is far and too difficult to find protection on the maps:

Anyone who hates having a lot of different launchers on their computer can rejoice at the news that it will soon be one less, at least if you play Bethesda's products. Through their website, they announce that it's time to say goodbye to Bethesda.net Launcher, but also assure that all games we own are safe.
Starting in April, we will be able to migrate our games and any wallets to our Steam accounts. The save files for many games will also be transferred automatically, while others require a manual touch. The Bethesda account itself will still be there and available via the website, and you will continue to have to log in to play certain games.
This only applies to PC players, and console players do not have to do anything.
That people are disappointed with Battlefield 2042 is probably a fact at this point, and even EA themselves state that they are dissatisfied. The problems have piled up, and last week Dice announced that the game's first season will be delayed so they can focus on the worst bugs and gameplay instead.
However, some are not happy with the wait for the game to be fixed, and therefore a petition has been started on Change.org. The goal is 50,000 signatures, and at the time of writing it has 219.193 votes signed. The creator claims that one of the country's (US) best lawyers will pursue the case against EA if they reach 50,000 signatures.
The creator of the petition says that EA and Dice did not keep their promises and that the game was unplayable when it was released. He also points out that in some cases Steam has made exceptions to its refund rules and given the money back even though players played more than the allowed two hours.
Whether this collection will lead to anything is highly doubtful, but it is undeniably an interesting development in the chaos.
It finally happened, it's finally here. Blizzard and the Overwatch team just announced Overwatch 2 beta, and it's arriving at late April.
They also announced that they will split the PvP and PvE content in order to provide faster updates and content for the both. But wait, that's not all. During the announcement Aron Keller took the time and apologized for the current way the team have handled Overwatch content (or the lack off) and promised to be better. Video in the comments.
This is huge news for the entire Overwatch community, and a well deserved one! Stay tuned for more news about Overwatch 2, it's one of my all time favorite games. It's finally time to be excited again, we haven't felt that for a looong time.
Here are the major items you can expect to see from the first beta!

Born: William McChord Hurt, March 20, 1950. Washington, D.C., U.S.
Died: March 13, 2022 (aged 71), Portland, Oregon, U.S.
Education: Middlesex School
Alma mater: Tufts University (BA), Juilliard School (GrDip)
Occupation: Actor
Years active: 1977–2022
Oscar-winning American actor William Hurt has passed away, says his son Will. Hurt turned 71 years old and would have turned 72 next week.
"It is with great sadness that the Hurt family mourns William Hurt, a beloved father and Oscar-winning actor, who passed away on March 13, 2022."
According to the son, the actor died of natural causes, and fell asleep peacefully surrounded by the family.
William Hurt was born on March 20, 1950 in Washington DC. He made his white screen debut in 1980 in the science fiction thriller "The Experiment", for which he was also nominated for a Golden Globe.
Hurt won an Oscar for best male lead in the film "Spider Woman's Kiss" in 1985. He was also nominated in the same category for the roles in "Beyond All Words" in 1986 and "Broadcast News - News Fever" in 1987.
Career
Hurt began his career in stage productions, only later acting in films. From 1977 to 1989, he was a member of the acting company at Circle Repertory Company. He won an Obie Award for his debut appearance there in Corinne Jacker's My Life, and won a 1978 Theatre World Award for his performances in Fifth of July, Ulysses in Traction, and Lulu. In 1979, Hurt played Hamlet under the direction of Marshall W. Mason opposite Lindsay Crouse and Beatrice Straight. His first major film role was in the science-fiction film Altered States where his performance as an obsessed scientist gained him wide recognition. His performance with Richard Crenna, Ted Danson and newcomer Kathleen Turner in Lawrence Kasdan's neo-noir classic Body Heat elevated Hurt to stardom, and he later also co-starred in Kasdan's The Big Chill (1983). He appeared in the thriller Gorky Park opposite Lee Marvin. He received the Best Male Performance Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Award for Best Actor for Kiss of the Spider Woman in 1985. He received three additional Oscar nominations: Best Actor for Children of a Lesser God (1986) and Broadcast News (1987; he was thus nominated for Best Actor for three consecutive years) and Best Supporting Actor for A History Of Violence (2005). Hurt also starred in Tuck Everlasting as Angus Tuck.
Often cast as an intellectual, Hurt starred in films such as Lost in Space, but was also effective in other kinds of roles, as in I Love You to Death and David Cronenberg's psychological drama A History of Violence (2005), where in less than 10 minutes of screen time he plays the creepy mob boss, Richie Cusack. Also in 2005, Hurt played a mysterious government operative in Stephen Gaghan's ensemble drama about the politics of big oil, Syriana.
Hurt was in the miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's Nightmares and Dreamscapes, in a piece entitled Battleground (also notable for its complete lack of dialogue). He plays Renshaw, a hitman who receives a package from the widow of a toymaker he had killed, unaware of what is waiting inside for him. He appeared in the cast of Vanya, an adaptation of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, at the Artists Repertory Theatre in Portland, Oregon.
In June 2007, Marvel Studios announced that Hurt would portray General Thaddeus Ross in the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk alongside Edward Norton, Liv Tyler and Tim Roth. Hurt reprised his role in Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and Black Widow (2021).
He appeared in Sean Penn's film Into the Wild, the true story of Christopher McCandless. He appeared as President Henry Ashton in the 2008 action-thriller Vantage Point. Hurt also played Mr. Brooks's alter ego in Mr. Brooks, which starred Kevin Costner.
In 2009, Hurt became a series regular on the FX series Damages playing a corporate whistleblower opposite Glenn Close and Marcia Gay Harden. For his role in the series, he earned a 2009 Primetime Emmy Award nomination in the "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series" category. Hurt's 2009 Sundance film The Yellow Handkerchief was released in theaters on February 26, 2010, by Samuel Goldwyn Films. He was in the Thailand-based 2011 thriller Hellgate alongside Cary Elwes and Paula Taylor, directed by John Penney.
In September 2010, Hurt played United States Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson in the HBO film Too Big to Fail, an adaptation of Andrew Ross Sorkin's book. He also starred as Captain Ahab in the 2011 television adaptation of Herman Melville's novel Moby-Dick. In 2018, Hurt was cast as the lead in The Coldest Game (2019), but after he was injured in an off-set accident, he was replaced by Bill Pullman.
Hurt had been set to appear in the series Pantheon and films The Fence, Men of Granite, and Edward Enderby before his death in March 2022. It is currently unknown if he ever finished or filmed these roles.
It has been called one of the biggest leaks ever in the gaming world.
Now a 17-year-old boy from London has been arrested. A police source tells The Desk that the boy was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the server breach of Rockstar Games and Take Two Interactive, the companies behind "Grand Theft Auto", The Desk reports.
On September 18, 90 clips of what were said to be gameplay sequences from the upcoming "Grand Theft Auto" game were posted online.
"Hey, here are 90 clips from GTA 6," the user wrote.
A few days later, Rockstar Games, the game developer behind "Grand Theft Auto", confirmed that the company was recently the victim of a cyber breach that resulted in files being stolen.
"It included early working material for the next Grand Theft Auto," Rockstar Games announced on Twitter.
The game developer does not believe that the leak will affect or interfere with the further development of the game.
"We are extremely disappointed that details about our next game were leaked to you in this way," Rockstar Games wrote.
The 17-year-old is also accused of stealing files from Uber, according to the source.
The last GTA game, "Grand Theft Auto 5" from 2013, sold 170 million copies.
In February, it had fewer than 2,000 concurrent players on Steam. For the first time, it has been under 1,000 players.
Dice has promised massive changes and has learned "valuable lessons," but the numbers still keep falling. According to Steamchart's statistics, the game has reached a new low record today: 979 simultaneous players. Steamdb's lowest listing is 1,021, but no matter which number is correct, it's low.
Battlefield V had an average of 11,585 simultaneous Steam players during the corresponding time period. The battlefield 2042 average over the last 30 days is 1,963 players.
More than 230,000 people have signed a petition calling for unconditional repayment.
A huge database of Steam user info is reportedly up for sale on the dark web, with one of Valve's service providers the potential source. Read the entire article here: https://www.pcgamesn.com/steam/data-breach-valve-service-provider
The updated user agreement allows them to make a Nintendo device "permanently unusable". Next month, it is time for Switch 2 - Nintendo's next console, which is essentially a more powerful variant of their latest success. Prior to this, they have updated their user agreement and privacy policy, and one of the new points may probably be considered worth raising an eyebrow over. It is in the license section that Nintendo points out that one must not in any way circumvent, modify, decrypt, destroy or mix with Nintendo Account Services, and that Nintendo reserves the right to, among other things: "permanently make Nintendo Account Services and/or applicable. In other words, they "brick" a Nintendo console if they believe that the user has, for example, tinkered with the account service to be able to pirate or engage in anything else that Nintendo does not like. It is not uncommon that it is not possible to play with devices that have been tampered with, but making a console completely unusable is clearly a step further. It is unclear to what extent it will actually be used or whether it is even applicable to legislation in different parts of the world.
Star Wars interest, like everything else, goes in cycles. We see periods of extreme drought, followed by bombardment, and in between perhaps some sort of semi-squal. Movies as well as TV series and games, all seem to live in some sort of constant treadmill.
Right now, we're in a slump, at least game-wise. However, there are many projects that lie in the future - the "divorce" between EA and Lucasfilm (they are still buddies, as you will see below) has opened up for more studios that hopefully aim to make Star Wars great again.
To celebrate this year's "May the 4th be with you," the in-office Star Wars day, we list here all the upcoming games that have been announced.
And then, of course, you should vote for which title you are most looking forward to!
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake
An old classic is to be resurrected in new garb. No remaster, but a full-fledged remake. The hopes of the now-age fans are, of course, monumental. Aspyr media (one of the biggest porting developers) is responsible for the content, and the game is first released exclusively for PS5, and then comes to PC. No details, screens or films are made public. Nor a release date.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2
Respawn is working a sequel to the well-received, but some slightly spirited, Jedi Fallen Order. The original took us on a journey that took place shortly after the events of Revenge of the Sith, but we don't yet know anything about the content of the sequel. No release date has been communicated. Rumored to be on display at Star Wars Celebration May 26-29.
Star Wars: Hunters
A free-to-play multipayer game that will be released for mobiles and Nintendo Switch this year. Here, the resentments take over after the Empire has fallen, and we've been promised a bunch of familiar characters competing in an arena on the planet Vespaara. Several maps are on the menu, in something resembling a kind of battle royal fight.
Star Wars FPS (no title advertised)
Respawn has another Star Wars game under the rug, in addition to Fallen Order 2. It is described as a first-person shooter, and is directed by Peter Hirschmann who has been involved in Battlefront and early Medal of Honor games. No details have been announced, nor any release date. It is said that the game will take over the somewhat fading torch from Battlefront, where the last two parts were developed by Dice.
Star Wars-RTS (no title advertised)
A third Respawn-intended game is a real-time strategy title that they don't develop, but instead produce. The studio that has received the honor is instead Bit Reactor, which is partly made up of old veterans with both Xcom and Civ on their résumés. Again, we don't have a release date, nor any screens or movies.
Story-driven Star Wars game (no title advertised)
Amy Hennig is back. Again. We really hope she gets to run the line this time, along with new studio Skydance Media. After the story-driven game that went by the working name Project Ragtag was discontinued along with EA studio Visceral, fans have been craving more depth in their Star Wars games. Perhaps a title that focuses on "richly cinematic action-adventure" and an "original story" can fill the hole in our hearts.
Open World-Star Wars (no title advertised)
Massive Entertainment is working on yet another story-based game, but this time in some kind of open world format. The Snowdrop engine from The Division games will be used, but beyond that, there is no information of value whatsoever. Maybe it would be that an old Tom Clancy fox is working as the creative director of the project. Ubisoft is the publisher. Everything else is very unclear.
Star Wars: Eclipse
From the studio behind Detroit: Become Human, Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain comes another SW title that we assume will have great narrative depth. The game takes place during the time of The High Republic, when the Jedi had its heyday. You'll get to play several different characters, explore the hitherto unexplored The Outer Rim, and play the classic "your choices have repercussions" game. New planets and beings are promised, but much more than that we do not know. No release date has been set.
A fascinating and somewhat scary aspect of artificial intelligence is that nobody completely understands how it works. Perhaps for the first time in human history, we have invented technology we do not fully understand. Many people understand the basics; Machine learning, transformer model, calibration and training, but not why chat bots give the answers they give or why the models show special behaviors. A crucial difference between artificial intelligence and traditional programs is that AI gets its own abilities that appear, like knowledge of mathematics and programming. Common programs have specifically written functions, while AI learns from statistical patterns in data. Many have pointed out precisely the incomprehensibility of AI, including AI experts and Open AI CEO Sam Altman, who compared the unpredictability of artificial intelligence with the human brain. Most recently, Anthropic Manager Dario Amodei has pointed out that they do not understand their own creations, in a post on their blog. AI is still moving forward fast and it will be exciting (scary?) To see where we end up in five to ten years.
After only a week and despite Game Pass-releases. Boom! And then the world's worst preserved secret was finally released. And it went well, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered attracted four million players in just four days. The game is also on Game Pass, but despite this, the sales figures do not seem to slow down. Mat Piscatella from the analysis company Circana actually writes on Bluesky that the game already during its first week became the third best selling game in the US in terms of revenue, after Monster Hunter: Wilds and Assassin's Creed Shadows. And since then, it has been a week, so the figures are obviously even better now. The work on the game is not over, and now Bethesda wants to know what we want to see to make the remaster even better.
Completely without warning a new trailer from GTA we were just released, close to a year and a half after the first. We meet Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, a love couple with crime as livelihood. They live their lives in a solar and night-drenched vice city (based on Miami). Just like in the first trailer, we get to see Lucia Mucka from prison, but she has apparently not learned for it not long before the couple robs and ravages. Everything is captured on the PS5, according to the final text. The game is also released for the Xbox Series. PC has not been confirmed yet, but all previous GTA since part three have come to PC also a number of months after a console debut, so we can probably count on that in due course. GTA We were delayed last week from thought release this fall. Now it is May 26, 2026 applies.
In March last year , Mike Frazzini stepped down as head of e-commerce giant Amazon's gaming venture. Now John Smedley, studio head of Amazon Games San Diego for the past six years, is doing the same.
In a letter to employees, according to Bloomberg, Smedley writes that after much thought he decided to try something new. Smedley has previously worked with and for Everquest, Daybreak Games, Sony Online Entertainment and Planetside. In 2015, he stepped down as head of Daybreak, in part after running into controversy with hackers. The following year, he was forced to state that the Kickstarter investment on the hardcore role-playing game Hero's Song failed.
Amazon began a big push into computer games in 2014, but has had trouble making any big hits. The MMORPG New World from the fall of 2021 has fared decently in terms of critics and players (roughly 900,000 simultaneous players on Steam at most). The January 2022 free-to-play MMO Lost Ark also did well, but on the other hand, it was coded by Smilegate, not Amazon Games.
Otherwise, it has been bleak for Amazon Games, with hardly any releases and several discontinued projects. And it doesn't look very bright going forward either - as far as is known, no in-house developed PC games are in the works.
AI image generation, often referred to as generative modeling, involves using artificial intelligence algorithms, particularly deep learning techniques, to create images that mimic real-world data or produce entirely new imagery. One of the most popular and powerful techniques for AI image generation is Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), proposed by Ian Goodfellow and his colleagues in 2014.
Here’s a simplified explanation of how GANs work:
Generator Network: This is the AI component responsible for creating images. It starts with generating random noise as input and progressively refines it to produce images that become increasingly similar to the training data.
Discriminator Network: This acts as the “critic” or “judge” in the process. It evaluates images produced by the generator and attempts to distinguish them from real images from the training dataset.
Training Process: Initially, the generator produces random images, and the discriminator makes guesses about whether they are real or fake. Based on the feedback from the discriminator, the generator adjusts its parameters to produce more realistic images. At the same time, the discriminator is also trained to improve its ability to distinguish real from fake images.
Adversarial Nature: The name “Generative Adversarial Network” comes from the adversarial relationship between the generator and the discriminator. As the generator improves, the discriminator must also improve to maintain its ability to distinguish real and fake images. This competition drives both networks to improve over time.
Convergence: Ideally, the training process continues until the generator produces images that are indistinguishable from real ones, and the discriminator can no longer differentiate between real and fake images.
Other approaches for AI image generation include Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), which learn a probabilistic distribution of the input images and can generate new images by sampling from this distribution. Auto-regressive models like PixelCNN and PixelRNN generate images one pixel at a time, conditioning each pixel on previously generated pixels.
These techniques have found applications in various domains, including art generation, image editing, data augmentation, and even in generating realistic synthetic images for training other AI models.
Below, we’ll feature four different methods you can try to increase the WordPress memory limit.
Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that all of these solutions will work for you because it depends in large part on how your hosting environment is configured. That’s why we shared four different methods – at least one of these should work for your situation.
Because some of these fixes involve editing core WordPress files, we highly recommend that you take a backup of your site before proceeding.
Once you have a recent backup of your site, here are some ways to increase the WP memory limit.
Edit wp-config.php and increase wp_memory_limit
If you’re running low on memory, there’s a simple solution: increase the amount of memory you have access to! WordPress lets you set the current memory limit in its wp-config.php file via the wp_memory_limit variable. However, this limit may be less than the amount of memory provided with your hosting plan.
If this is the case, you may be able to resolve this error by editing your wp-config.php file. Making changes at the code level does carry a degree of risk, so it’s smart to create a backup of your site before proceeding.
To edit the wp-config.php file, you’ll need to connect to your server via File Transfer Protocol (FTP) using an FTP client such as FileZilla.
navigate to your site’s root folder and;
Inside this folder, right-click on the wp-config.php file, and select View/Edit. This opens wp-config.php in your default text editor. Now, search for the following phrase – WP_MEMORY_LIMIT.
It might look something like this:
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '32M' );
If this code already exists in your wp-config.php file, you need to increase the number. For example, you can increase it from 32M to 256M.
If you don’t see this line of code in the file, you’ll need to add it. Just add the following code above the line that says /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */:
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
There you go. There are many more ways to do this but I just wanted to share the method that worked for me.
Note
Note: Some prompts are not tried enough and might provide inconsistent results. This whole tutorial is made with the help of the Reddit Stable Diffusion community and how they used age prompts while using Stable Diffusion. Make sure to tweak some parameters accordingly.
Step 1: Identify Your Subject
Begin your age specification by determining who the subject of your project is.
The individual can be absolutely anyone from celebrities, family members, or even characters from your favorite books.
Be sure to have a clear mental image of your subject. The initial prompt is your starting point, it’s your opportunity to establish the foundational idea you want the Stable Diffusion model to build upon.
Step 2: Specifying the Age Range
Once you have your subject in mind, the next step is to articulate the age range that you wish to represent.
This is a crucial step because age significantly influences how we perceive individuals.
In your prompt, you’ll need to use “age XX” where XX represents the lower limit of the desired age range. This could be anything from 10, 20, 30, etc., based on your preference.
For example:
“newborn” for < 3 yrs
“child” for < 10 yrs
“teen” to reinforce “age 10”
“college age” for upper “age 15” range into low “age 22” range
“youthful adult” reinforces “age 25” range into middle “age 35” range
“middle age” for upper “age 40” range into lower “age 60” range
“grandmother/grandfather” for “age 55” on up
The Stable Diffusion model will then use these terms to align the generated images with your defined age range.
Another way to influence the age range of your results is by employing a negative prompt, essentially telling the model what you don’t want to see.
This could include similar age-related terms that you want to exclude from your results, further tightening your age range.
On the other hand, you can also use age: desired age parameter to define the age you want your character to look like in Stable Diffusion and most often than not, it works wonderfully. For example, age:52 or age:30.
Step 3: Using Specific Year References
Sometimes, specifying an age range might not be enough, especially when dealing with public figures whose appearances have evolved over time.
To address this, consider using specific year references in your prompt, such as “ in the year 1995”.
Step 4: Refining with Additional Details
If your subject is tending to appear older than desired, you can use further specifications to bring their age down.
For instance, the term (teen:1.3) in your prompt combined with terms like (child, toddler, infant, cherub) in your negative prompt can tilt the results towards a younger representation.
Also, to exclude facial hair that could potentially age your subject, terms like (beard, mustache, stubble:1.2) can be added to your negative prompt.
Step 5: Experiment
Machine learning and AI are built upon iterative refinement and experimentation. Don’t be afraid to play around with different combinations of age specifications, descriptors, negative prompts, and year references.
Sometimes the most effective results come from an unexpected combination of factors.
Best Prompts to Try out In Stable Diffusion for Specifying Age
Remember, these prompts are just samples to show how we used age parameters in Stable Diffusion and got close results.
“Generate an image of Taylor Swift, age:18, with a vibrant country-style outfit, inspired by pop art, high definition, sharp lines, colorful palette.”
“Render an image of Keanu Reeves, age: 25 years old, donning a chic black suit, in a noir-inspired monochrome art style, high-resolution, with clear and well-defined features.”
“Create an anime-styled representation of Harry Potter at age:11 years old, detailed and vibrant, inspired by Studio Ghibli’s art style, sharp, clean lines, high-resolution.”
“Visualize a 25-year-old Audrey Hepburn in a Roman Holiday style outfit, classic monochrome Hollywood aesthetic, detailed and refined art, high-resolution.”
“Generate an image of a 30 year old Steve Jobs, dressed in his iconic black turtleneck and jeans, in a modern minimalist style, sharp and clear lines, high resolution.”
“Create a full-body portrayal of a jubilant Ana de Armas at age:28, detailed anime realism, trending on Pixiv, minute detailing, sharp and clean lines, award-winning illustration, 4K resolution.”
“Visualize Albert Einstein at age 50 in a pop art style with bold and vibrant colors, detailed and high-resolution image.”
“Generate a portrait of a 35-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio, inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s impressionist style, vibrant color usage, intricately detailed, high-resolution.”
“Render a full-body image of a 20-year-old Serena Williams, in action, capturing the energy of her game, detailed realism, high-resolution, vibrant color palette.”
“Generate an image of a 10-year-old Hermione Granger, in an anime style inspired by ‘My Hero Academia’, vibrant and colorful, high-resolution.”
That’s it, you’re now ready to use age parameters in your Stable Diffusion prompts. But as we mentioned, some versions of Stable Diffusion might not support these parameters.
I would love if you could share your tips in the comments below and help the community.
In the spring of 2023, a hacker broke into an internal forum at Open AI where employees discuss technical details about the company’s technologies.
Open AI was hacked over a year ago but chose to keep quiet about the breach, the New York Times reports. The breach took place in an internal forum where employees discuss the development and technical details of the company’s various AI models.
The system is independent from other internal systems and the hacker did not come across any login information to other parts of the company. Since the forum does not contain any customer data, the company chose not to disclose the breach to the public, but only to employees and the board. The company also did not contact the FBI or any other authority.
Not everyone agreed with that rationalization. One executive, Leopold Aschenbrenner, criticized the company’s security measures, which he argued left the company open to major intrusions by state actors. He was later fired for leaking internal secrets, which he claims was politically motivated. Open AI says his firing is not related to the security criticism, and that management simply came to a different conclusion.
The New York Times writes that Open AI does not believe its AI algorithms pose any risks to national security, and is supported by others in the industry. Daniela Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, says, for example, that today’s AI systems probably cannot be used to cause any major damage. Meta has made its models, led by Llama, open source and is not alone in that.
The largest database of leaked passwords in history to date was published on an online forum on July 4, 2024.
July 4, 2024 became a historic date, for a grim reason from a security point of view. At the time, a database with nearly 10 billion passwords was published on a hacking forum, in what is believed to be the biggest password leak ever, writes Cybernews. The text file with the passwords goes by the name Rockyou2024 and contains 9,948,575,739 unique passwords to be exact.
In 2021, the Rockyou2021 database was leaked, containing 8.4 billion passwords. According to the Cybernews team, which compared the leaked passwords with its own database, the new file builds on the old version, meaning around 1.5 billion new passwords have been added.
The risks of having all of these passwords compiled into a searchable database include an increased risk of so-called credential stuffing attacks, a type of cyber attack where attackers use large amounts of stolen credentials to try to log into various websites and services.
When was the last time you changed your password?
Dead insects stay on the playing field.
Anyone who has seen the movie Starship Troopers might remember how the bugs die in piles and how Rico and the gang can climb up on them?
Now this will finally be possible Starship Troopers Extermination . With the next patch, the insect corpses will stay on the playing field and be able to form piles that can then be climbed up.
The developers call the system Carnage, and it lets the insect bodies remain until you or your fellow soldiers blast them to bits. Even blood decals will stay on the maps and together it gives a more realistic (read bloody) battlefield.
It is still unclear when the 0.8.0 patch will be released, but we will probably know more soon.
In Republic of Pirates we get to build and take care of our own settlement among turquoise waters and swaying palm trees, and it's been out since a few days ago on PC. There is also a demo to test, so raise your flag and take it for a test ride.
Here there is a resource-based economy to consider as well as diplomatic relations to nurture, but when the words are spoken, real-time sea battles can also be resorted to. To help with that, you must recruit and upgrade well-known pirate captains, so they can use their abilities to liberate islands and defeat other factions.
There are eight different ship types to take advantage of, and you can also customize them with various emblems and cosmetic details. The game has a campaign of around 30 hours, but you can also play in a free mode where you can adjust various settings and play a little as you like.
Ubisoft finally revealed the gaming world's worst-kept secret last week, and Beyond Good & Evil: Anniversary Edition , which is a remaster, was finally released yesterday. If you are interested and curious about how the new version compares to the original, the YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits has made a handy comparison video.
Among other things, we see samples of slightly improved mountain geometry, vegetation in 3D instead of just flat textures that stick out, properly polished character models as well as more advanced lighting and shadows.
But basically, it's the same game mechanics running in the background, so those who liked the original will feel right at home.
And there will be more Beyond Good and Evil , because Ubisoft has added some new material to the remaster that will connect the plot with that of the sequel that has been in the works for 15 years, and confirmed the other day that work on the game is still ongoing.
