Watch 9 minutes of new, brutal gameplay from Diablo 4

Diablo 4 looks set to be released in 2023 at the earliest, as it's one of Blizzard's most anticipated upcoming games. Therefore, for natural reasons, they do not want to release a blunder, but a stable foundation on which they can build for many years.

But we can at least enjoy that no less than nine minutes of new gameplay has been released. This is thanks to Blizzard's quarterly update for the game, which in addition to information about some of the game's various systems also includes several shorter videos that show how the game has developed in recent months.

It includes, among other things, how magic and other things bounce light on the environment and how different attackers' "hit boxes" have been refined to better match the animation. Visually, it looks like it will be a really cool experience, so we can hope that the game mechanics keep pace.
