The third season of the popular The Witcher series on Netflix is underway, although it hasn't been a smooth ride. Filming kicked off in March this year, but a couple of months ago we reported that they were forced to take a break due to a covid outbreak, and according to Redanian intelligence, it was Henry Cavill himself who tested positive. However, the filming must have been able to continue to a certain extent in his absence.

And now it should be ready. Bola Ogun, who directed the last two episodes of the season, has confirmed via Instagram that it is now heading into post-production. Redanian intelligence has also gotten a look at a card that Cavill is said to have sent to those who worked on the season, in which he thanks them for their work during the tough production.

So when will we see the third season? Netflix hasn't revealed that yet, but based on the previous seasons, it's not impossible that it will take until the winter of 2023, although post-production is said to be completed sooner than that. It all depends a lot on when Netflix feels it is beneficial to release the series.
