EA has pulled the wraps off the next content update for Battlefield 2042 . The name will be Season Two - Master of Arms and already on August 30 it will be released. On Tuesday next week, that is.

In terms of content, a new map, Stranded, is offered. There is an oil tanker stranded on the dried-up seabed, and there malevolent forces have established a weapons depot.

A short film shows a stranded freighter on a dried-up lake bed in Panama. Tight battles indoors, waiting behind boxes and cartons. In addition, three new weapons, a stun grenade, two vehicles and a new specialist named Charlie Crawford are included. He acts as support for the team, with the ability to revive teammates and conjure up a minigun with a shield when needed. This can be used by anyone - friend or foe. Finally, there will be some weapons and other things to unlock in BF Portal.

The first season update was released in June and was a bit of a vitamin injection for the then struggling game. The number of players grew significantly, and while these are not dream numbers (6,000 Steam players at the time of writing, according to Steam Charts), the increase is still there two months later. Hopefully, Season Two will have the same effect on both the number of players and their mood.
