Big acquisitions in the gaming industry have become almost commonplace in recent years, with deals such as Microsoft’s acquisition of Zenimax and their ongoing acquisition of Activision Blizzard. But one who can’t seem to attract any of the industry giants is Hideo Kojima.

In the latest episode of his podcast Brain Structure – with Geoff Keighley as guest – he addressed the topic, saying that he receives offers from all over the world on a daily basis to buy Kojima Productions.

Some of these offers reportedly involve “ridiculous amounts of money,” but Kojima says he’s not interested in the money, as he started the studio to be able to make the games he wants to make. He therefore believes that he will not accept such an offer as long as he lives.

Kojima Productions is currently said to be working on a sequel to Death Stranding , which Norman Reedus happened to reveal. However, they seem to have at least one other project in the works, which will involve the actors, Elle Fanning , Margaret Qualley and Shioli Kutsuna. The project could be the horror game called Overdose that was rumored before.
