Evil West has "gone gold" ahead of its release in November
Disaster struck when promising wild west/fantasy shooter Evil West was delayed in August. The new release date was November 22nd, and now it looks like it will actually be held, as publisher Focus Entertainment has announced via Twitter that the game has gone gold – in other words, it's basically done, although of course they will continue with the polishing right up to the release.
The game is being developed by Flying Wild Hog, who are mainly known for the Shadow Warrior games, but also released Trek to Yomi earlier this year. Evil West is just as goofy and action-oriented as Shadow Warrior, but skips the humor in favor of a darker and more serious atmosphere. It takes place in an alternate version of the Wild West where a group of vampire hunters try to protect the world from bloodsuckers and other monsters.
So November 22nd it hits, and that's on Playstation 4/5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
