Dead Island 2 has been delayed time and time again, but the latest footage from the game has looked really good. In the latest video, two developers from Dambuster Studios talk about the FLESH system, which enables procedural damage to the zombies we attack in the game.

In short, this means that the zombies have clothes, skin, fat, muscles, bones and internal organs that are exposed and torn apart in a realistic way depending on the weapon we attack with and how we actually hit. Not only does it result in a visually stunning system, but it also makes things easier for the developers, as they don't have to individually model what the damage looks like for all the different zombies and all the different weapons.

Dead Island 2 is released (hopefully) April 28 for PC, Playstation 4/5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
