How to complete The Drink of the Picts World Event in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
The Drink of the Picts is a World Event you’ll encounter in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey crossover story in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You’ll find it in Dunvegan Village, where you can hear a man panicking about something that he’s lost. This guide explains how to complete the World Event, so you don’t get stuck on it for too long. Step 1: Get the list There’s a house near the man that the World Event icon is linked to in this village. Break into it and pick up the note on the table in there. It’s a list of ingredients for a new kind of drink. Now go and talk to the man, and he’ll tell you that he’s trying to make a revolutionary new drink. He’ll then ask you to gather the ingredients. Step 2: Collect the ingredients You’ll need three ingredients for this recipe. The first is wheat, which you can find on the farm just behind the man you speak to. However, you can only gather it at night, so come back when it’s dark to get this. The same goes for the firefly you need, which is in the field of dead grass further away from the farm behind the wheat. Finally, you need crushed barely, which is in the pen with the two wild boars. These boars are angry, so you’ll need to kill them to get the crushed barley. When you have all three ingredients, return to the man you spoke to at the beginning of the quest to complete it. He’ll express his gratitude, but he’s unwilling to share any of his new brew with you.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: How to Change Arrows
Assassin's Creed Valhalla handles arrow types differently than most RPGs, so players may have some trouble figuring out how to change arrows at first. In most RPG games, players can obtain a variety of arrow types that can be used with their bow, ranging from fire arrows to explosive arrows and, in some fantasy games, even elemental arrows. Assassin's Creed Valhalla handles this a little differently though, so players would be forgiven for not understanding how to switch arrows. Whereas in most games the arrow fired from the bow determines the effect, Assassin's Creed Valhalla puts the emphasis on which type of bow the player is using. Unlike Assassin's Creed Odyssey where players could obtain various different types of arrows, there is only one collectible arrow type in Valhalla. Instead, players can equip one of three different types of bows that work in different ways. The options available at the time of writing to players are Hunter Bows, Predator Bows, and Light Bows. Players will start with a Hunter Bow, but other types can be found or purchased while playing through the game. As the starting bow, the Hunter Bow is predictably the weakest of the three kinds. It's performance is standard and players will certainly be able to deal some damage with it but it doesn't excel at any one particular purpose. By contrast, the Light Bow is more suited for short range encounters, and can fire arrows much faster than the other two types of bows. Finally, the Predator Bow is Assassin's Creed Valhalla's sniper rifle, firing arrows at insane distances and dealing heavy damage with each shot. Using the right bow in the right situation can be key to victory. For those wondering about fire arrows and the like, they do still exist in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, though not in the same capacity as they did in Odyssey. This time, players will need to stay aware of their surroundings, as open fires in the area can be used to light arrows aflame. This works especially well with the Predator Bow, as it makes each shot that much deadlier. For poison arrows, players will have to unlock Eivor's Ranged Poison Strike ability that allows them to apply poison to arrows. This approach to arrow types may take some getting used to, especially for those players fresh off the back of Assassin's Creed Odyssey's archery, but with time it should become second nature. Essentially, switching arrow types is as simple as switching bows or changing Eivor's gender, but players wanting to apply further affects will need to use skills or their surroundings to do so. Tldr; Change bow to change arrows...

Microsoft stops selling all products and services in Russia
Microsoft will stop selling both services and products - including Xbox Series consoles - in Russia. Microsoft CEO Brad Smith confirms this in a new statement (via VGC). Smith condemns Russia's invasion and expresses terror, anger and sadness. As of today, sales for the tech giant in Russia will cease. It remains to be seen how long. At the same time as the decision has been made, actions is also being taken to follow the sanctions at, among others, the EU. Microsoft and Smith do not rule out that more information is to be expected in the future. He thinks they... The invasion of Ukraine characterizes the gaming world in different ways, in the small and the big.

HTC may present the flagship phone with metaverse connection in April
According to Taiwanese Digitimes Asia, Charles Huang, CEO of HTC, in connection with MWC has announced that the company has plans to present a new flagship phone. According to HTC, the phone, which can be launched as early as April, will have a metaverse connection, which means a focus on AR and VR. HTC has also presented the platform "Viverse" which will act as a springboard into the so-called meta-summary and connect VR games, movies and apps with, among other things, blockhains, crypto and NFTs. In addition to a number of midrange phones, HTC has not introduced a flagship phone since the launch of the HTC U12 +, which took place in June 2018. A phone that received a lot of criticism due to slow and not completely bug-free updates. The company has since chosen to focus on developing VR headsets under the “Vive” brand together with associated ancillary services. The company's latest VR product - HTC Vive Flow - is developed to be paired with a smartphone.

Stalker 2 development halted due to Ukraine's war
Following last week's Russian invasion of Ukraine, Kyiv-based GSC Game World has halted the development of Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl. The company says in a video that it helps the employees and their families to survive, and that the game development must be set aside. The video begins with sequences from motion capture recordings to the game, but soon turns to showing clips from the war. It ends with the promise that work on the game will continue "after the victory". The film, which can be perceived as unpleasant, can be seen on Youtube. Stalker 2 has a release date of December 8th. But far more important than a release date for a game is that the war ends.

Lost Ark gets new content and bug fixes in March
After the successful start last month (with associated long server queues), Lost Ark will soon have new content. In March, both new content and a bunch of bug fixes will be released. The date they will be released will be announced later and then we will also receive the entire change list. There will also be a roadmap that outlines the direction in the coming months. But already now we get to know a little about what awaits. There is more story material. Kadan is a new storyline with new quests and you will then visit the islands Isteri and Illusion Bamboo. This requires you to pass the continent of Feiton and three quests, and your item level should be at least 1,100. Furthermore, there will be new engame material in the form of Abyss Raids. There are time-limited battles against strong monsters and made for eight players. You can read more about both of these content updates here. About the update, it is announced that there may be a solution to problems with matchmaking on the European servers. It is being tested and if it works well, it will be announced as soon as possible. There is also talk of continued long queues for the European servers. It is difficult to get more players in there and more servers can not be added, so the developers try to make the experience as good as possible for those who actually come in, they say. That, and some other update news, you have here. The free to play MMO Lost Ark attracted 1.3 million Steam players simultaneously shortly after its February 11 premiere. Of course, the number has dropped since then, but with about 550,000 players at the same time recently and about 800,000 - 900,000 at most per day in the last week, it is still a force to be reckoned with.

Dice: Massive Battlefield 2042 changes underway
On his own blog, Dice writes today that they will make massive changes to Battlefield 2042 in the coming time. The first part of the remake is about the general map design in the game. The developer points out five different areas as critical: 1. Travel time - Many players are annoyed at how long it takes to move across the big maps, made for up to 128 players. According to Dice, players mocked the title and called it a "walking simulator". 2. Intensity - Due to the lack of smaller zones where the fighters can converge, the matches can feel chaotic and confusing. Dice specifically points out the Breakthrough mode. 3. Line of sight - Too open and too flat - Sniping and attacks from long distances have made life miserable for the poor infantryman. This should therefore be reviewed. 4. Unclear paths to the targets - Without clear paths towards a target, the firing, according to Dice, comes from many different angles, which in turn makes the battles too chaotic. 5. Protection - Dice has taken on board the critique who claim that it is far and too difficult to find protection on the maps: You can read more here. The post is rather long.

Fly through the clouds... From the cloud - Microsoft Flight Simulator now playable through Xbox Cloud Gaming
Microsoft Flight Simulator became one of 2020's hottest titles and stunned the world with its astonishing world. However, proper hardware is required to run it, whether it comes from an Xbox Series X / S or a PC. But now there is another way to enjoy the game, via Xbox Cloud Gaming. This means that you can stream the game from an Xbox One, less powerful PC or mobile phones and tablets that are supported, which since last year include both Android and iOS. To use Xbox Cloud Gaming, an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is required - so a regular Game Pass subscription is not enough.

The easy way to install Ubuntu and replace Chrome OS on your Chromebook (Working Audio and Function Keys)
Prepare by downloading the Ubuntu flavour of choice from the official Ubuntu website. Make a bootable Ubuntu USB with Rufus following this tutorial. Enabling Developer Mode Entering Developer Mode requires you to first boot into Recovery Mode. For Chromebooks, this means pressing [ESC+Refresh+Power]; On Chromeboxes, there is usually a physical recovery button (often a small hole above the SD card reader) which must be depressed when powering on. Once at the recovery screen, press [CTRL+D] to enable developer mode, then confirm when prompted. As a security measure, transitioning to/from Developer Mode will wipe out all ChromeOS user data, essentially powerwashing (resetting) the device. Exiting Developer Mode is as simple as following the instructions on the Developer Mode boot screen (usually pressing [SPACE]), but may require resetting the firmware boot flags if you've changed them. As with entering developer mode, exiting will wipe all ChromeOS user data, so if you plan on keeping your device in developer mode, it's a good idea to set the firmware boot flags to prevent accidental exiting and loss of data. Getting a (Root-capable) Shell Once in developer mode, there are two ways to get a root-capable shell, which is required for doing anything useful: NOTE: Starting with ChromeOS R117, this script must be run from a VT2 terminal (from login screen: [CTRL+ALT+F2], login chronos); it cannot be run from a crosh shell ([CTRL+ALT+T] when logged in) due to the removal of sudo, or from a crostini (penguin) terminal; crostini is a virtualized container and lacks the necessary access to read or modify the firmware. On the login screen, press [Ctrl+Alt+F2] (F2 is right-arrow on ChromeOS keyboards), then login with user 'chronos' (no password is required, nor should one be set) When logged in (as a guest is ok) and with a browser window open, press [Ctrl+Alt+T], then type shell and press [ENTER] Once you have a root-capable shell, you can do things like install Linux (via crouton or chrx), update the firmware, etc. Installing the Firmware and Boot From USB Then follow the steps below or go here. In this tutorial we will be installing the RW_LEGACY Firmware which allows us to boot from USB and Try/Install Ubuntu (or any other flavor). It is also the only option that works without removing read/write protection from you Chromebook. Logged into your Chromebox, press Ctrl+Alt+T to open the terminal. In the terminal, write 'shell'. Then run the next three commands one by one. cd; curl -LO mrchromebox.tech/firmware-util.shsudo install -Dt /usr/local/bin -m 755 firmware-util.shsudo firmware-util.shAfter the commands you should be presented with this Press '1' on your keyboard. You will be presented with a message that says "If N, always boot from internal storage unless selected from boot menu". We want to press 'y' here. This makes your Chromebook always boot into Ubuntu when starting up. Let the firmware install. Once done, a green message should appear saying "RW_LEGACY firmware successfully installed/updated." Press 'Enter' Power off your Chromebook and power it on again This time, instead of pressing 'Ctrl+D', press 'Ctrl+L' and then press '1' followed by 'Esc' to enter the boot menu. Select your USB From here on it's pretty straight forward. Try Ubuntu, make sure things work. Then you can install, completely replacing Chrome OS or install it on another USB/Memory card. --- In order to get audio working, open the terminal and write in the following commands in order and then reboot your machine. Make sure you have python and git installed if it doesn't come with the distro you use. git clone https://github.com/WeirdTreeThing/chromebook-linux-audio cd chromebook-linux-audio ./setup-audio --- To get the function keys to work properly (lower/raise volume, brightness etc) run the following commands in a terminal. As per above, git must be installed. git clone https://github.com/WeirdTreeThing/cros-keyboard-map cd cros-keyboard-map ./install.sh

Watch the trailer for the Grim Dawn developers city builder game Farthest Frontier
The developer Crate Entertainment has so far only Grim Dawn on the merit list, even if it is not so "just". The game and its expansions have become very popular, but now it's soon time for Crate Entertainment to release its second game. It goes by the name Farthest Frontier, and is a city builder in medieval environments that was announced last year. The first gameplay trailer is now here, and shows how we will be able to go from a smaller, undeveloped settlement to a full-fledged medieval city. However, the journey there is not likely to be completely smooth, and in addition to the obligatory production of food, we must also beware of fires, wild animals and attacking bandits. We will be able to grow ten different crops, and will be able to use crop rotation to keep the soil fertile. Frost and heat are also aspects we must take into account. The game will be released in early access on Steam this year, where it will probably remain for 4-8 months, depending on how much needs to be changed or added. They estimate that there will be around ten hours of content at the early access release.

Lego Star Wars have gone gold
The level of ambition is almost palpable in the new Lego Star Wars, as the game includes all nine movies in the Skywalker saga. In addition, rebuilt from the ground up, despite the fact that seven of the films have already been played and (not infrequently) praised in Lego game form. April 5 is the time. Let's hope that Power is with the game.
