The third “Venom” movie is moving forward and has now found its director in Kelly Marcel.
After much back and forth, Kelly Marcel has taken on the task of directing the third Venom film, according to Deadline .
Tom Hardy once again shoulders the lead role after “Venom” and “Venom: Let There be Carnage”, where we got to see Eddie Brock fight against Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady aka Carnage.
Kelly Marcel is better known as the screenwriter of films such as “Saving Mr. Banks”, “Fifty Shades of Grey”, “Cruella” and the first “Venom”. This will be her directorial debut. We still know very little about the plot of “Venom 3” but there have been rumors in the past that this could be Tom Hardy’s last solo film as Venom.
We have previously also hinted at Venom in both the trailer for the upcoming game “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” game and after the credits in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” from 2021 (if you remember?).
Now that the film has its director, it shouldn’t be long before we get more information about what the upcoming film may be about. Can Venom stand toe-to-toe with Peter Parker himself, do you think?
