"The Union" is a movie about a casual guy recruited by a secret spy operation in order to go undercover and clear up their mess. That is also what the movie is, a mess. The protagonist undergoes the usual "I go from casual to professional athlete in two weeks that takes six months for everyone else" training. Mark Wahlbergs character literally goes from not being able to shot or fight to hitting everything and taking down a professional undercover spy in two weeks.
The story is forgettable, so are the characters. After the movie finishes I can't remember a single character name. Fight scenes alter from being mediocre to actually somewhat good, as does the visual effects from good to some really questionable green screen scenes.
Overall kinda what you come to expect from a Netflix production now a day.
Watchable once, not more.
