According to the theory of relativity, as developed by Albert Einstein, it is not possible for an object with mass to travel at the speed of light. As an object approaches the speed of light, its mass increases infinitely and the amount of energy required to continue accelerating it also increases infinitely. Therefore, it would require an infinite amount of energy to accelerate a massive object to the speed of light, making it practically impossible to achieve.

However, it's important to note that the theory of relativity does allow for particles with zero mass, such as photons, to travel at the speed of light. Additionally, there are other theories, such as string theory, that suggest the possibility of higher-dimensional travel that could potentially allow for faster-than-light travel, but these ideas are still speculative and have not been experimentally verified.

Interesting stuff. Been on this site all evening and can't leave :classic_biggrin:

I am now getting more interested in how the universe works. This is great stuff. As one who lacks any kind of education and lives mostly alone this is a great way to spend my time.
