Ubisoft sticks to its traditions. Just as Origins came with the expansions “The Hidden Ones” and “The Curse of the Pharaohs” , and Odyssey expanded with “Legacy of the First Blade” and “The Fate of Atlantis”, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also comes with two expansions. The season pass to the new game includes two “massive” expansions and the bonus mission, “The Legend of Beowulf”. The latter is available already at the game’s release in just under three weeks.
“Wrath of the Druids” is the first expansion to be released “early” in the spring of 2021, and steers us towards Ireland where the mystery surrounding an ancient druid sect is waiting to be solved. It sounds like Assassin’s Creed -like in that the mission is about finding out who the sect consists of, and then start the hunt for them. We will conquer typically Irish ring forts and influence Dublin’s trade.
Ubisoft believes that the story is made for those who are eager for the dark around Celts and druids.
The second and probably last expansion will be released during the “early” summer next year. The Siege of Paris takes on an iconic Viking bite in history: the attack on Paris in the ninth century. We explore the West Frankish Empire where we meet “celebrities”, participate in large battles and infiltrate Paris from within.
So you get all this in the season pass, which currently does not have a price tag, but which is included if you have invested in the gold or ultimate editions. Free content for all players will also be released (end of year and spring, summer and fall 2021). In the first package comes the “yule” festival that transforms Eivor’s residence. River raids will be another free feature.
